His last professional season on hockeydb was 2012-2013. Looks like he is a few years removed from hockey. I think we are safe.

How did he snub us again? I know we traded for him the Phaneuf/Stajan year, but I don't remember him snubbing us. Didn't he just walk during free agency?

think people are putting way too much into this ...

The NHL minimum 8 players deemed "veterans" for every preseason game has done wonders for the PTO business in the off season. Get some guys in with zero chance of making the team and insert them in the early pre season games so you don't wear out your core.

Ah, so his CP equivalent would be me.

Sutter wanted to re-sign him but Higgins wasn't interested. I'm not sure I'd call it snubbing, a player can only sign with one team. Looking back on it, it's easy to see why an American hockey player wouldn't be interested in playing for a mediocre Canadian team.

And yet end up as a Vancouver Canuck anyways?

If Treliving builds it (a contender), Gaudreau will stay imo

How so? I doubt anyone would feel threatened by a 33 year old grinder who is out of options. Unless he has somehow turned back the clock he has next to no chance of making the team. Pretty pointless move by BT imho.

If his attitude is good, he may be worthwhile to sign on a two way contract. We could use some vets in Stockton and he could be a decent call up.

That's what I thought too, I used to like him before that and had hoped he would signed with us. But he chose Canucks over us?! Booooo

Chris Higgins snubbed us. He didn't hide the fact that he did not want to play for the Flames. Too good for us back then. Not good enough for us now.

Gawd...deja vu back to the Sutter days...Nolan, Amonte, Higgins...ugh! What's up Brad?
