And it shouldn't be "pretty standard" they should use a funnel and use a rag if they are not using bulk. But ya, most oil jockey's just don't care. And occasionally you get burping engine blocks. Those suck.

Because 95% of battery terminals have a build-up of corrosion. It would be like them telling you have some carbon build up around your exhaust pipe.

If they cleaned it, there would be tonnes of Internet posts about how someone took their car to a quick lube place and they reset their clock and radio presets.

Just wanted to chime in to say that I always got upsold the engine flush/friction whatever stuff too, so you're not the only sucker out there.

That's some heavy corrosion if your battery is really a year old then like Photon said you need to get your charging system checked out. Fluid Film works well to keep the posts clean.
