Is this jersey a fake? I'm wondering about the tag below the CCM tag that says NHL player.

It looks like a legit replica. Is there an NHL puck logo on the back hem?

Also I think the flaming captain C was only used on the pedestal jerseys.

The Captain's C is definitely messed up. Not only did they only use the small Flaming C on the pedestals, but even if that was correct, the small C is missing the two little unattached flames coming off it.

Spoiler!

This is incorrect. In my collection of jerseys, I have three of the Reebok Premier home jerseys. They all have the Reebok logo shown in the 1st picture in the thread. Of these three jerseys, one is from the 2008-09 season (Iginla), and the other two are from 2010-11 (Glencross and Giordano). They were all purchased from the Dome. I have a retro jersey from the 2009-10 season (Bouwmeester), that also has the Reebok symbol on the left sleeve. I'm not sure what version (Authentic/Premier/etc.) it is, as the arms are wider to allow pads in, but the material is not as nice as the authentic. It's kind of a weird hybrid. The size is weird too, as I'm a small in Premier jerseys, but this is a medium. This was purchased at the Dome, and comes with the 30th anniversary patch. I have a 2010-11 Heritage Classic (Kiprusoff) Premier. It doesn't have the logo or the word mark on the sleeve, and was purchased from the Dome.

I also have the Reebok Premier retro jersey from the 2014-15 season (Backlund), that has the Reebok word mark on it. This was bought from FanAttic online.

I have four authentic (on ice) jerseys, all purchased from FanAttic or the Dome. None of them have a logo or a word mark on the left sleeve.

The first is a 2010-11 style (Brodie), as it has the Reebok logo on the back of the jersey. I'm annoyed with myself for getting Brodie #7 on this jersey, as I bought it blank and had it stitched later. The problem is that Brodie never wore this version of the jersey. In 2010-11 he only played three games, and wore three different jerseys (away white, home retro, home red). For all of them he wore #66. He didn't switch to #7 until 2011-12, so my jersey isn't period correct.

I have the same problem as above with my Authentic Retro Sven Baertschi jersey. I bought it in March 2012 from the Dome after he was called up. Unfortunately the Flames sold me the 2010-11 retro jersey that has the logo on the back. Sven never played a game that had the logo on it, so it's another one that isn't period correct.

The other two authentics I have are 2013-14 3rd/alternate Monahan and a 2014-15 home Gaudreau. Both have the Reebok word mark on the back of the neck.

They may not change them willy-nilly, but they definitely change small details throughout the years.

That is apples to apples. One of those jerseys is from somewhere between 2007-2011, and the other is from 2013-16. The word mark or logos were consistent in the same year. I can upload photos from my jerseys, or you can take words at face value.

I know, I said they were official in my post. I was just pointing out that the Chinese ones replicate he authentic, so if you see the grey size tags it's not a knock off.

The 2009-10 Retros and the Heritage Classic jerseys were both the old-style cut from before the change to the Reebok Edge design in 2007. That's why they look/feel different than the others, with a baggier cut.

In 2010-11, they switched the Retros to the Edge cut.

The Heritage Classic replicas were all made in Canada instead of in Asia like the usual Premiere jerseys. I believe that's why they don't have the size patch or sleeve logo. The Canadian factory usually only makes the Authentic jerseys, and they don't put the size patch or sleeve logo on those.

Good sleuthing. I never noticed the missing unattached flames.

Perhaps I did overreact to making an inquiry about someone selling a dozen knockoff jersey's and signatures. I disagree. I'm only 5/10 crazy. Dialing 9-1-1 and demanding the Police arrest her would be 8/10 crazy.

Then again, nobody has eclipsed the Jets fan who phoned 9-1-1 in a Manitoba town, who demanded (probably when intoxicated) that the RCMP bring the NHL team back a year or two before the official announcement was made. That was 10/10 crazy.

I really need a life....

Evander Kane "signed" jersey.

Authentic Jets home jersey.

You can definitely tell by the waist horizontal trim colors that the jersey is a knock-off.

The white trim is identical in size (width), on the waist and shoulders. I have my jersey right in front of me, and measured it out of curiosity. The Kane jersey white trim is far too large, and the blue trim coloring is off, and smaller that an authentic Jets jersey.

That knock-off is bad, but your "Authentic" picture is a toddler's jersey.

Oops..how embarrassing. Fixed image. I'll let someone else do the appraising, and bow out.

That's still not an authentic jersey. It's a Premier. The size is in shown in letters (S-M-L-XL) and the Reebok word mark is on the sleeve. Authentic jerseys have numbers for sizes, and aren't shown on the front of the jersey.

I think we've all learned that I'm terrible at jersey appraisal. Never trust me for this.

Haha isn't that the worst? I have a 93 Squid I would like to convert into a Bennett but the Reebok logo is wrong so I can't in good faith do it.

Agreed. The Brodie one was my fault, as I waited a year to get it crested and didn't realize it had changed. The Sven one was delivered in bad faith. It's way too late to complain to them now, but it still doesn't make me happy. That, and how Sven didn't become a 40 goal per season winger also doesn't make me happy.
