Word is Giroux played through a lot of injury's last year. The year prior, his 'possession numbers' (along with Voracek) were fantastic and kept the team afloat while the 2nd and 3rd lines floundered. Stupid that the article constantly cites possession numbers, but never bothers to quantify them for any player.

Pavelski > Thornton
Steen > Stastny

I had no idea Galchenyuk and Henrique scored 30 last year. Kinda crazy

Both Steen and Pavelski currently play wing.

Stevie had a fair amount of flash when he was younger. 39 goals and 87 points as a rookie and 2nd in the Calder (to a goalie). He grew into the two way, clutch centre role later.

I like that Monahan isn't flashy. Keeps him somewhat under the radar while everyone is watching Johnny. I think this is a pretty good list. Maybe Scheifele rated a little too high and Giroux rated a little low.

Holy hell, the top 30 centres for each team?

1. Monahan
2. Bennett
3. Backlund
4. Stajan
5. Jankowski
???

Do the Flames even have 10 centres?
