Can someone update me for the Rugby 7's semis? I missed the games and haven't found out who won.

Fiji had too much power and pace for Japan. Japan battled till the last minute, but it was too much.

GB won, but SA gave it to them through a number of poor decisions. The Blitzbokke left at least 2 tries on the field. GB didn't win it so much as SA lost it. Shocking play.

I don't think Fiji will make the same errors as the Africans, Fiji to win that country's first ever Olympic medal. Fitting that it is 7's Gold.

Gymnastics, in particular beam and floor, could really use a lot less of that weird hand/arm waving stuff. I don't get what they are doing with their hands and it just looks random and spastic to me.

While PopNest are playing on Sportsnet right now Volleyball about to start on TSN. The Women's Track Team Pursuit rides next but can't find it on tv, so it may just be online.

The Canadian men's volleyball team is really struggling this afternoon. They just can't get the offense rolling today.

Pospisil really didn't do well in those tie breaks.

Will Canada get a gold ever again? We got one in 2012.

I think our best opportunities are golf, trampoline and women's soccer. We had a decently strong cycling team in the past but I don't know how our team stacks up now. Ryan Cochrane also has his best event coming up tomorrow, 1500m freestyle, so hopefully he can challenge for the gold.

Shawn Barber competes in the Pole Vault on Saturday, an event he won at the World Championships last year. That's another good chance at gold.

And we have 3 rowers in the medal rounds right? There's hope.

Poland beat Argentina in straight sets and have qualified to the QF

Ellie Black finishes 5th in the women's all around. That's huge, given the competitors around her. Wow! Be proud of that result.

Simone Biles should start her own sport. She's too good for gymnastics.

Blue Jays could use an extra arm in the bullpen

I hate how TSN utilizes their channels. They have 5 channels and are showing the same beach volleyball game on all 5. Is there a lack of events currently that makes it impossible for them to show something else?

I think Canada needs Latvia to win this match.
