So when people go to other cities alone (SF, San Diego, etc), how do you get around? Rent a car? Seems uneconomical for one guy?!

Uber is cheap as hell in the US. Maybe 1/3 the cost of a taxi. I've been using that every where lately. This weekend I took it from the Seattle airport downtown and it was $25.72. That's a $60 cab ride normally.

A couple week ago I was in Vegas, same thing. Went from the strip to Fremont for 14 bucks (usually 30+) and went from the strip to the hotel for 7 bucks (usually 20).
