I think Eugenie is still learning a lot about controlling her emotions and regrouping which is extremely hard as a young athlete. I think as she gets older she will get better at this.

Hopefully she can focus on doubles with Gaby because with the Williams sisters out, that section of the draw seems open for an unexpected duo to make a run.

Wow. more than questionable tactics there. Kick it through the end zone instead of taking it into contact?!

I don't know the rules, but on the last two Aussie tries it seemed like they were down, and then slid across the goal line.

With 7 minute halves and a running clock, it seems like luck has the most to do with winning and losing in Rugby 7s. Not enough time for a flow to develop.

Disappointing as Canada goes down with a bunch of sloppy errors. I still can't believe they left Magali Harvey at home for this and that's going to be questioned a lot now. She is just an excellent player with a ton of pace and was the best in the world a year ago.
Questionable tactics today, and a questionable roster though which leads to us playing for bronze.

I don't know rugby too well but I think they should have one woman who is just a pure sprinter. I realize everyone on the field is quite fast but I think the USA has one girl who just flies through everyone. That might be one of the ways to go about defeating a big and mean team like Australia.

Why was she left at home? Was she injured or just not playing well... seems a little odd especially if she was the best in the world a year ago.

It would be nice if other sports got the same coverage in Canada outside of the Olympics.
I never realized a Canadian won the Female Rugby Player of the year award in 2014, and certainly didn't know she would have been snubbed from the Olympic team.
Feels like something that should have made more noise when it was announced.

Nah, I think she's done. She hasn't shown even a glimmer of hope that she can get it together. I personally think her heads not in tennis and she's more into being a celeb but that's a blind guess.
