Lots of new blood coming. Time to weed the garden... Grant got his shot and really showed nothing... Let's face it almost all of the guys are real great guys but time waits for no one.. I expect a lot more to go.. I wish good bye for Stajan, Bollig, Bouma, even Hathaway (hard worker but not much there otherwise ) Wideman, Jooris too unless he wants a 2 way

I really Grant, and thought he was a good option for the 4th line this year - at the very least, a very strong and reliable call-up. Would have liked to see him re-sign here. Thought he would based on his success last season (his best as a pro). He decided to parlay that into a bigger contract somewhere else, and I can't fault him for it. He doesn't leave a big hole anyways, as I think the Flames won't find it too difficult to replace him in the AHL.
