I really believe Makarov 'deserved' it more than Lindros. He was an incredible player in his prime in the Soviet Union.

Finally an injustice has been corrected, and one of the games' all time greats is being ushered into the hall of fame. I really started believing he would only get in posthumously. Will be great to see him up there, and listen to some of his stories from the USSR and the rivalry with Canada, as well as how regimented their lives were.

Also, I wonder if he will bring the 'no slapshots' story up. Really looking forward to it.

Lindros was a victim of his own stupidity. He skated with his chin glued to his chest more than any other star player I've ever seen.
