Best news of the day. What's a total tool of a sports personality. His ego is all he cares about

Except he didn't lose his job. He's moving to a different job, co-hosting Prime Time Sports.
He's probably getting a raise.

I can honestly say that I lost no respect for Cox out of that.
But only because I already had no respect for him after he insinuated that that the only reason Jose Bautista got good was steroids.

Everyone celebrating is going to be very sad when they turn on the draft tonight and see who's part of the broadcast panel.

There's being outspoken and there's being an ass straight out of the Al Strachan mould. Cox frequently crossed the line into being an ass territory. That and the fact he's really not the most knowledgeable sports guy makes him a really hard sell outside of the Toronto market.

Yeah, after that tweet, he made his account private and un-verified it (that blue checkmark). Week later he is no longer with Sportsnet.

Checked the calendar to ensure this was not April Fool's Day.
A few celebratory cheers tonight CPers as we watch the draft, be thankful for hockey's version of Christmas & #CoxLess Sportsnet...

He's still with Sportsnet. He's just moving from one job to another within the same company. He'll still be on the air every weekday (15 hours a week).

Despite the lack of trades, this news along with Benning has made up for it in spades!
