I don't see who we could give up that would get us that other pick.
Would have to be Monahan, Gaudreau, Gio, Brodie, Bennett, or Hamilton.

IF...I mean really IF the Flames got another top ten pick I feel like the way Button went on about Sergachev leads me to believe they'd take him with the extra pick. Then you get a good D man and Nylander/whoever.

Gio is the 'old guard' at this point. Gio will probably retire as a Flame, and Hamilton is being groomed to take over on the top pairing with Brodie. We need them all at this point.

God, at this point I can't even comprehend what we'd give up for the 4th. Brad... you evil genius, you.

With Montreal looking at moving PK for multiple assets before his NTC kicks in, and lots on CP saying Gio needs to go before his NTC kicks in, is his stock ever going to be higher?
Could Gio get you another top 10 pick, a Bluechip prospect and possibly +?

With the Flames needs, the strength they have on D for depth, it would be hard to swallow as a fan and for the franchise, but as a business, it would be the most prudent move.

Ruthless, but good business is ruthless..

I don't see how the Oilers would get their hands on Brodie without offering up McDavid.

I can say stupid things too.

Could you imagine if we traded up from 6th to 3rd overall and added the 7th/8th overall on top of that somehow?!?!?!
 Gaudreau - Monahan - Puljujarvi
 Shinkaruk - Bennett - Nylander

 ... Wow

D and wingers.

Since Calgary doesn't have any wingers (that they'd trade, at least), for an 8th overall pick it'd have to probably be Giordano? I'm assuming Brodie and Hamilton are untouchables.
