Hey bud, I'll be driving my kids to golf lessons here in 30 mins. Once I'm there I can check my phone and if this is ready to go I'll enter in. So bare with me a few minutes if you're set and I don't appear around. I'm just driving for 30 and will be sure to check in thereafter so as of not to slow you folks down.
Thanks all.

How is the draft going to work? Everyone gets 30 minutes or something? Wasn't thinking when I said Winnipeg haha. Bit of a cliff at the 22 spot.

Just one more person needed to take the Ducks.

The Edmonton Oilers would like to congratulate the Pittsburgh Penguins on winning the Stanley Cup. As well, we wish to thank the city of Buffalo and it’s fans for their hospitality and endless string of material for Calgary’s morning show care of the Robyn Regehr segments.
With the 4th overall pick, the Edmonton Oilers select… from the OHL London Knights, Matthew Tkachuk.
**Explanation**
Edmonton spent their time ahead of draft day looking to find a suitable trading partner to turn their 4th overall pick into an established defencemen to no avail. Additional efforts to trade down but stay within target of their perceived best D in the draft also failed to come to fruition. As such, the Oilers turn their focus back to the 4th overall selection within the draft and elect not to go off the board with their pick to fill their obvious omissions, but rather, select the BPA and re-visit their defence issues after the dust settles. Tkachuk is their man. Smarts, toughness, high compete level, ferocious competitor. Another bigger/tougher player to further distance themselves from their softer/brittle stigma.
With rumblings that he may have just been the benefactor of playing alongside highly skilled players like Dvorak and Marner in the OHL, the Oilers reason they have a few fairly highly skilled players of their own at the NHL level to match that same winning formula for him to mesh with and yield similar results.
After the draft, Edmonton uses RNH, Yakupov and Eberle as primary trade bait to find a resolution to their defensive woes. Trouba? Shattenkirk? If they can land a solid defender like this using RNH as their key piece, it’s a double win as RNH has been usurped at centre anyway. I would then see them looking to move Yakupov to Montreal to reunite him with Sarnia Sting buddy Galchenyuk. Not sure off hand what they could command for him, but that seems a likely landing place for him.

Canucks on the board. After they pick I will post a poll on who the Flames should pick. We'll let that one until run afternoon tomorrow to give a chance for the debate/discussion to unfold, and then resume the rest of the mock.

With the fifth pick, the Vancouver Canucks select ... Pierre-Luc Dubois.
We gave serious consideration to two other players, but in the end, PLD makes too much sense for our organization. He provides size, skill, and skating up the center, and can play the wings on our top 2 lines while he develops, providing an orderly transition.
We thought long and hard about another center and a defenseman, but in the end went with the player with the combination of highest upside and sure bet to be an impact player.
(Sorry for the delay guys, was at band practice.)

Im glad Tkachuk and Dubois went 4-5, otherwise the flames pick would probably be a landslide for whichever of them was left.

We will let the other thread still run, to generate good discussion, but at this point it is already a slam dunk. With #6 the Flames take Alex Nylander.

First off I'd like to congratulate the...ummm (whispers to person beside me) the Penguins on a hell of a playoffs! Secondly I just gotta ask one more time, TML are you sure you still want to turn down that offer? Yes? Ok fine!
Without further ado, the Arizona Coyotes select from the Sarnia Sting, defenseman Jacob Chychrun! After evaluating our prospects, we feel a defenseman is the best route to go. Thank you very much!!

Buffalo selects Clayton Keller.
Four words, because that's how Tim Murray rolls. The Sabres need speed and skill, and Keller would be a great fit going forward.
