I'm looking forward to seeing how he compares to everyone else. I wonder if he finally decided to come over because he thought he was getting forgotten over here.

IIRC this will be AOM's third development camp. He attended in 2014 and 2015.

I don't believe Ollas Mattsson has played a game since he was injured at the World Juniors.

My bad. I must have confused him with the Russian d-man (Rafikov?).

Any relations between Ollas Mattsson and new draft pick Mitchell Mattsson? Or any relations with former Flames first round pick Jesper Mattsson for that matter?

I highly doubt Mitchell is related to Ollas. He's American.

When are they going to release the scrimmage schedule?

And from Minnesota. Almost everyone in Minnesota has a Swedish last name

And so he should be....He's now almost 22 and has been playing against bigger, stronger NCAA players for a long time. At this point I would put close to zero weight into his showing at the development camp against mainly smaller, younger and far less experienced prospects.

Main camp and the AHL season will be where he should be judged at this point and time.

Brayden Burke is attending development camp. 109 points on the Lethbridge Hurricanes and was third in WHL scoring.

Yeah, I was wondering if he might end up at camp. HUGE jump in production last season from the previous season. Poor guy has been passed over in the draft twice now.

Ollas-Mattsson has attended camp the last two years. 2014 he could not participate on the ice because of injury and 2015 he was there and skating.

Rafikov has never attended either due to visa issues.

Hopefully I'm working nights at Stampede, I'd like to spend my days checking Dev Camp out.

Did a tour of the Saddledome on Monday with my kids and got invited into the Flames locker room. A very helpful person indicated that Tuesday and Wednesday next week would be on-ice but mainly power skating and drills. He suggested Thursday would be a good day to spectate as they were planning scrimmage that day.
