I would vote 'Other.' I'd love to see Mike Keenan.

Dallas Eakins
No seriously hear me out.
whenever a player gets traded from that team and that toxic core lead by Hall they immediately become better, the latest example is Justin Schultz.
So why not the coach, maybe Eakins is actually a decent coach who had to deal with Hall, Eberle and RNH calling the shots and defining the work ethic in the room.
Maybe he is the next babcock.
We could totally like save him.

Not the best list of candidates but I would definitely go with Boudreau from that lot.
I also can't stand Dave Cameron, I have no idea why, but something about him bugs me to no end.

In all seriousness, is Darryl a realistic option?

Adapting to the team and the team needs is one reason I like Boudreau.
Changed the style in Washington over the years, had different styles in Anaheim and even switched up their play midseason this year to ensure that they still ended up winning the division after a poor start.
Think that was one main thing with Hartley is that he never adapted - they were going to play there style and nothing was going to change that.

I don't like Boudreau, and I liked Hartley.
However, I want to see the Flames win, even if that means hiring someone I don't like. I think Boudreau is the best man available at the moment for the job.
Hire him.

Boudreau isn't a bad option. He has a track record. He's got 3 decent options right out of the gate though in Ottawa, Minny and Calgary.
Not sure if he's down for inheriting a really young team. He might feel beyond development coaching.
Maybe its a good time to invest in a younger coach with a newer system to tie into this roster?

I, too, would like to go off the board.
I've seen Leaman mentioned a couple of times. What are Bob Boughner and Mike Haviland up to these days? The recycled coaches are starting to look like the CFL.

Couldn't agree more and it's the thing I like most about him. He;ll change his style to suit the teams strengths, rather than the other way around

I may be the minority but I absolutely do not want Boudreau.

The teams he coached were not that great prior to his arrival.
Washington had 81 points during Boudreau's first year as coach year. And this was after several years of heavy struggles for the Capitals. He then followed that year with 108, 121, and 107 point seasons.
Anaheim went through a bit of a retooling phase. During Boudreau's first year as coach there, the team finished with 80 points. However, the team improved quite a bit as soon as he became their coach. He then followed up with 4 consecutive division titles.
It's pretty hard to justify having anyone ahead of him in terms of coaching options. No other options seem that great. If not Boudreau, they'll have to take a gamble on an AHL coach.

I don't have any strong feelings about who to hire but Randy Carlyle should be a name that is in the mix and not because of his past relationship with our Pres.

Johns Stevens out of L.A might be a great fit. Worked with Sutter, was decent before, has more seasoning since his last head coaching job.

Rob Kerr on Fan 960 asking if Ryan Huska will get consideration as new Flames coach.
I doubt that very much at this stage. Also no proven record of winning yet in Stockton. These radio commentators are grasping at straws!

Too risky a hire IMO. Treliving would instantly be on the hot seat if Huska didn't pan out and there's a high probability that would happen given the failure rate on first time head coaches and he has one year of pro head coach experience.
