Where to buy tires

If anyone needs tires ever, PM me. My parts manager is a tire whore. If I can't get you what you want cheap, he'll scan the distributors for deals, and see who ever is blowing out what. We are running quite the little tire cottage industry here as we have the busiest Fountain Tire in the city across the street, and we pick off a lot of their overflow. Just because we sell VW's doesn't mean I can't sell you tires for a Honda.

I also endorse UrbanX in the south but not the most convenient location if you're in the NW. They get pretty busy. great service though.

I used tireworx.ca for my let set of winters and summers on my car. very convenient that he comes to your house. My kids were intrigued watching him try to stretch 35 series onto my rims.

I got my Toyos at Integra on Macleod Trail, just a bit north of Chinook shopping center...good service before and after, easy to book, quick service as well.

Pylon sounds much better , but just to chime in we have gone to Kal-Tire - started when we lived in Edmonton, now here in Calgary at a couple of different locations - and we have been very impressed. We are not your car/tire people, but I think that they took time to explain things to us, were cheaper than elsewhere (at least in Edmonton), we have always felt we are getting good info, etc. We also like that they will do winter/summer tire switch over for free.

I may be a bit biased, though, as I stopped a day or two ago as had an issue with the car - non tire/wheel related - and they happened to be right near my work. Fixed it for free - would not take any money.

Kal Tire in the Deerfoot Meadows has been great. Change tires from winter to summer at no charge, fixed a nail for no charge, scratched my rims and immediately offered to repair or replace.

Great service all around. It would take a hell of a price difference to get me to consider buying tires anywhere else.

Well I used Kal Tire for one of the flat fixes above. They fixed it, put the spare in the box of the truck (as opposed to underneath) so I got the pleasure of crawling around in a suit and doing that. Then to top it off the fixed tire didn't have enough air pressure so I had to add more. That dissuades me from going back.
