Honestly, Im not that surprised by the reaction of the employer and some of the men in this thread. When it comes to harassment against men, everyone just thinks its a joke.
A few years ago I had a pretty serious stalker (a person who I maybe had two short conversations with in my life, but who got so obsessed she moved across the country to "be with me") and who i legitimately thought was mentally unstable enough to do real harm. After trying to laugh it off myself, it got to the point that I went to the local precinct to see what I could do about it. I was summarily brushed off by the two officers (both male) who told me to enjoy the attention. It was only a lady officer who overheard us talking who later came over and took it seriously enough to talk to me about my options.

As awful as many SJWs can be, where did he state that that SJWs were the "biggest problem in his life"? What are you trying to get at?
And what are you talking about the "white mans power"? You are rubbing up against some racist biggotry here. Where has race been brought up in this? Its 7:30 am. Put the bottle down.

Then, a few months later, Austin and Robertson received an email from two female colleagues; one, their acting supervisor. In it, the women talked about sex toys and having intercourse with Austin, saying ‘we will wreck him’.
“I couldn’t believe this was happening while I work for the City of Calgary,” said Austin.
Reading it as a rape threat, Austin handed the email to the head of 911, Richard Hinse
|
All I can say is if this is indeed true and such an email was forwarded to the head of 911 and nothing was done and in fact one of the women was promoted I cannot believe this Richard Hinse has not been relieved of his duties. An email such as that is grounds for dismissal in any business let alone one operated by the city.

Yeah I got nothing. There is literally no way to spin this situation.
Blah blah gender politics blah blah but at the end of the day, as someone who has had to manage situations like this in the past professionally, this is indefensible (as it's being reported in the news).

The majority of women are not sexually harassed at work according to studies I have seen.

Googling workforce surveys, the Angus Reid survey shows that women are sexually harassed in the workplace about 3.5 times more than men. Men are harassed less, but I wouldn't consider that minuscule.

If you're referring to the Cosmo study, it said that 1 in 3 women were sexually harassed at work, meaning 2 in 3 women weren't.
And these surveys I've seen ask if a person has ever been harassed in their entire career, not whether it happens on a regular basis. If the survey asked whether they were harassed regularly, the numbers would be much lower.
I also think it's worth noting that in this news story he says he considered it a rape threat as they were talking about sex toys, intercourse with him and saying "we will wreck him". I would think the number of people in a workplace getting threatened with rape would be a very small % regardless of if it's male or female.

Small people in big jobs. - that's what I thought when I first read the story.
I don't know what it is about call centres, but I think they must rank among the most toxic places to work in the western world.
Perhaps they attract relatively uneducated-people who will never go higher than their current station, save for promotion within their little sphere.
I know that sounded rather harsh, and I don't at all mean for to be a dig against people without much formal education, but it comes from my own anecdotal observations working in a call centre while in university: there were lots of young people, going to school working part time sorta-thing; and lifers, who'd reached their ceiling.

That's crazy, did all 911 women sexually harass them at once or was this over a couple years type thing.

This is complete and utter garbage.
As someone who works in HR and investigates harassment, I can tell you that if anyone reports something even remotely close to this level of harassment, it will be investigated thoroughly (my scope covers roughly 2000 employees).
If proven, it will be dealt with quickly and harshly. Employers have a duty to investigate these types of complaints and provide a safe work environment for all employees.
Most harassment I deal with is just verbal harassment, the inappropriate touching mentioned in this article would be outside the norm.
For you to suggest that this happens on a daily basis to most women at the workplace is completely disingenuous and reeks of an agenda.
