Speed stick original deodorant. Hate antiperspirants.

As a public warning I just have to say to never buy this brand.

It actually accentuates the smell of BO. One time I bought it because it was on sale and I notice that the smell of BO was all around me. But I thought it was someone else, because hey I put my deodorant one.

One day a buddy came over and said I stunk. He took a sniff close to me and gagged. It was that damned Right Guard. Somehow it reacted with my sweat and just increased the BO odor.

Terrible stuff. Never buy it. Never ever had an issue with anything else other then that brand.

Speed Stick whatever.

I used an anti-perspirant once and for about a year after that I'd break out in a rash every time I sweat. I swear that was the cause as it started right after that. I don't know how or why but I swear it was that. It just felt wrong when I applied it.

(It was that or the body wash I was using but I also stopped using it almost immediately after that started)

Never again.

For Sportsing I use Degree. For everyday use I use Old Spice. Scents aside, I find Degree really helps with excercise and Old Spice has better smells for everyday use.

Old skool Alum block.

Costs nine bucks and lasts for years.

I use it to close the pores after shaving as well (mild antiseptic).

Alum kills the bacteria that causes the body odor. It's all you need.

Just found out Costco has removed Old Spice from their shelfs. Too many complaints and returns with allergic reactions. They must have changed an ingredient not too long ago because it was fine before.

Get the original Shulton formula Old Spice made in India. Look for it online.

It contains real botanicals and not the synthetic goat urine Proctor and Gamble sells in North America.

Alum blocks may cause irritation for some folks, especially if they have sensitive skin. I can't use an alum block after shaving most of the time for example.. Plus I like my Pinaud aftershaves.

Personally, I usually use Dove for men.

I use the spray and it works great for me, Axe is made by the same people who make Dove, Lever soaps, Lux perfumes and many other popular products, they have been around for a long time.

Costco pack Gillette anti-perspirant clear gel. I seem to blow through the deodorant by the end of the day, but never with an antiperspirant.

I order mine on Amazon all the time - just ordered some last week. Might try looking there, I am pretty sure it's still available

Default What kind of deodorant do you guys use?

I'm not a fan of the aluminum, petroleum derivatives, preservatives and intense scents of most name brands, as they tend to leave build-up and cause irritation for me.

I'm a sweaty guy, and I must admit that I quite dislike the feeling of being sweaty. At the same time, I understand that it's my body's way of regulating temperature and oil. I believe that anti-perspirants do more harm than good under longterm use. (Once in a while for specific needs is fine, and I find something very strong like Mitchum good in those cases.)

After a fair bit of testing, I've found that most "safe" and/or "natural" deodorants flat out suck. A few are decent, including the Rocky Mountain Soap Factory line mentioned earlier.

I originally found my favourite brand - Elements Botanicals (http://elementbotanicals.ca/) - at Nutter's. They claim to still carry it, but my location has been out of stock for some time. I've only tried the Sweatshoppe variety so far, and it is fantastic. I just submitted an online order for all four varieties, plus a few other products (mostly to cash in on free shipping), including their men's scent deodorant, which I look forward to testing.

I like the ingredients, and I like that the company is based somewhat locally (near Salmon Arm, BC).

Whatever is on sale.

And yeah, sometimes I end up regretting it.

I use Every Man Jack.

http://www.amazon.com/Every-Man-Jack.../dp/B00568AIDK

Seems to work well enough for me. I used to really like the dove stuff, but they discontinued the scent I liked. I wanted to go with something that smelled more like the manly smell of freshly chopped wood than "Cool Silver" or "Aqua Impact"
