You know when the interest has left when your flipping between the Flames game and CNN checking if Bernie Sanders is trumping Hillary Clinton in Washington.

I beg to differ. I think they will desperately need his cap hit to expose in the expansion draft. When he is not drafted, he will likely be bought out.

Man, I wish. Seems like a nice guy and all, but $3+ million for a 4th line center who is small, soft, slow, old and can't win face offs is such a waste.
The potential of the expansion draft and the 25% BS might keep it from happening though, even if the Flames were considering it. Sucks, because I'd much rather see 6'3 200+lb Derek Grant brought back to fight for that role with guys like Shore, Arnold and Hamilton.

Over at the 'Hawks boards, there is satisfaction with the win, but, disappointment in the porousness of our D...the feeling is that it was a game that Darling stole from a more deserving team...
Also funny, on the GT here, you guys slammed your own Anthem Singer...Let's see what 'Hawk fans had to say about him:

What happened between Toews & Hamilton in the 2nd? At 14:21.
Toews got 4 for roughing, Hamilton got 2.

Seabrook was going down, and Hamilton finished a check, because he was falling, Hamilton hit Seabs at head level (good no call)...Toews jumped in and they wrestled a little...Toews got the extra two for the initial facewash.

George Lays is the worst cowboy impersonator around. The way he curls his lips and musters up that fake twang is humiliating.

They show it on the highlights at TSN.ca -- Dougie plowed over Seabrook in the offensive zone; Toews responded by punching (facewashing?) him while he was laying on the ice.

Good for Toews, that's the expected response when perceived liberties are taken with teammates. I am sure he didn't get "in trouble" for taking that extra 2 mins.
Meawhile, Keith takes a couple stabs at Gaudreau and forcing him to leave the ice immediately...and...crickets...as the coaching stuff doesn't want the Flames to be undisciplined.

Followed by every Flame on the ice turning their head away and acting like they didn't see what was happening to Hamilton.

Useless Bollig is useless. Big surprise. Bring up a couple real goons. Wesgarth was a bad hockey player but more effective than Bollig has been all year.

This seems completely retro thinking...the object is to WIN, going back to talentless goofs clogging the bottom of the roster hamstrings the tactical combinations a Head Coach can have.
Do you REALLY want a 3 min/game maximum guy on the bench.
Bollig, when he was in Chi, could, at least, forecheck, block shots and be spotted in the PK rotation...and wasn't a complete defensive liability...does he no longer even have these abilities?
His best offensive year with my guys, as the 12th forward, about DOUBLED the best year that a "character" guy, Adam Burish, put up, in the same role

It would seem like the answer to that is yes. He's been no better than the 'talentless goofs' in Westgarth that used to clog the bottom of the roster.

More effective at punching faces and that's it. Bollig can take a regular shift in the NHL and not look out of place. Old school face punchers who are out of the league now cannot do that.

Bollig as well as guys like Reaves, Boll and Rinaldo have the exact same hockey skill as alot of the old-school enforcers, which is little to no skill outside of the face punching.

Taking a while to get to 5000

I'll say this for Bollig, I haven't seen a Flame as adept at finding open ice than him. Always seems to break in all alone or be left alone in the slot. Now, whether thats all him or a result of the opposition leaving him open because they don't see him as a threat, well, yeah.
