My game notes:

- Brodie is our best defenseman, whatever pair he is on is our top. Could be him and Smid and that would be the top pairing. We miss him when he is out.
- Wotherspoon,Nakladal,Kevin all>Wideman, I can't believe Wideman has 1 more year on his albatross contract.
- We are still missing an x factor up front. Bennett can be that - Can't wait to see what he develops into next year.
- Backlund was good again. He better continue this play into next year.

It is what it is. Tough to lose to the worst team in the leage since the middle of January but that the sort of year it's been. Move on and try to play tough and play spoiler.

the actual best part of this game was widman firing a puck at the ref as his literal first action back from being suspended

Do yourself a favour and grab the Median XL mod while you're at it.

####ing Domingue.

It better be Dom7ngue next season.

Coyotes are a rubbish team that we really should be able to handle when healthy.

I've actually got high hopes for next season, assuming we acquire a legitimate starting goaltender this summer.

We're a couple top 6 wingers and a goaltender away from contending, IMO. Hopefully atleast 1 of those is addressed this summer, and I expect we'll be in the mix for a playoff spot next season.

Wideman and Engelland in. Bennett Brodie Wotherspoon out.

Pretty predictable result.

Brad needs to take certain players away from Hartley's repertoire.

Easily Gaudreaus worst game since his scratch last year. So many bad giveaways.

Gaudreau has the puck way more than any other player on the team. He's going to have giveaways. You just hope they aren't bad ones that give up odd man rushes.

Yup, it's just like you accept that a physical defenceman is going to have some penalties, that a guy like Holmstrom is going to get a couple goalie interference penalties, that your shut down centre is going to have nights where the top line on the other team gets a few points against him. You take that for the positive balance of good plays that happen.

A surprising fact (*knock on wood) is that this has been the longest season Mark Giordano has played in since 2010-11.

He only missed 1 game during the lockout year however.

We were talking about this in the other thread but I don't think Gio is injury prone at all.
It has been 4 significant injuries that kept him out for huge chunks.

2009-Missed last 24 games and playoffs w. shoulder surgery
2011- Missed 21 straight games with leg injury
2013-Missed 18 straight games- LBI
2015- Missed last 21 games and playoffs- Biceps injury

If you take out those 4 occasions the ONLY other game he has missed was in April 2013 for personal reasons (birth?/death?)

He's the exact opposite of Lupul, this is the guy FDW could make an argument around saying he isn't injury prone, just has bad luck.

So what you're saying is we should expect another ~20 game injury in 2017
