One of the things with Feaster is he'd try to snow us with crazy assertions like if Jankowski was gone we would have been happy to take Sieloff in the first as he was our second ranked player.

Feaster was a talented Snake oil salesmen. In the end he ####ed up so badly in his role of GM in Calgary he lost his job.

It was easy for Calgary fans to beleive him since he has a Gm for the Rival team that ultimately beat them in 04 to win the cup. He went to school to be a lawyer and like any good lawyer talked and sold a good image of himself but in reality couldn't walk the walk.

This is why he can only get a job with Tampa bay lightning as a community coordinator to promote the game locally in Tampa. He is can talk but thats about it.

The only saving grace as his tenure in Calgary is being lucky enough no one else choose Johnny( Montreal had interest as well). Unless Wotherspoon or Gillies pan out that is all he has to really show for good as a body of work in Calgary. No one else has worked out and ended up nedding to be traded away.

The majority of the players that are panning out for Calgary right now are Sutter picks or Treliving trades and picks.

At this moment there are only 2 Feaster drafted players on this team. Johnny and Wotherspoon. That is it.

Another way to say it: The every single one of the 2011 picks are in the NHL right now. Our number one prospect is from the 2012 draft (Gillies), and the leading scorer of the 2013 draft was drafted by Feaster. The Flames were only rebuilding for about 2 months of those 3 years.

Thats kind of easy no matter who would have been GM at the time . He was the BPA.

That is nice and all but I don't see how all off them being in NHL help the Flames specifically.

I think hebdid his best while here but hey also was a snakeoil salesmen. "The best player out side of the nhl this and that...." Bad trades.... Almost cost the Flames dearly for the whole ROR fiasco etc.

Feaster had nothing to do with drafting and the drafts under him aren't even very impressive anyways. Trade history is average at best. Decisision making was clearly poor. The guy just didn't understand the game well enough to be a GM. He could do a decent job but decent doesn't cut it in this league. Very happy with our current management group.
