I'm gonna miss Hudler. I never thought his contract was a bad one the day he signed. He was a consistent 50pts player, cup winner, and was trained in the Red Wings system. Never understood the hate his contract got the day he was signed.

And his very first shift he showed off his skill when he took a pass on the blueline and pivoted around it and kept it onside. The pbp guys were raving about that move, his all around skill, and how he was a well-trained player from the Detroit organization.

His work with the young players was immeasurable. Very sad to see him go, and wish him nothing but the best. He sure looks good in Flames' silks.

No.

Even today players from the 80s still speak of Peplinski and his role for the team.

I was at an establishment one time after a Flames game and the players showed up there after. A friend was talking to Hudler and Gio and I went over to say Hi as well. I was wearing my 47 Baertschi jersey and as soon as I got over there Hudler is like who's jersey is that. Then looks on the back and he's like who buys that, then motioned to another player and was like look at this guys jersey. He was like buy a Hudler next time, more valuable. It was a hilarious exchange and he will be missed.

Now who's going to keep Perry from firing pucks at our empty net during warmups?
