Fire alarm in Edmonton? Even the arena staff are now worried about that tire fire?

Ahaha, that play at the end by Clendenning. Miscue not once, but twice. Hilarious.

Kevin Lowe knows a little something about tanking if there was ever a concern!

Oilers play like they are pretending they are trying, shooting pucks wide, missing passes, meaningless efforts.

I think we see the oilers go on a long losing streak until near the end of the season. There is no way they will give up a high draft pick at this point. I bet they give up first overall once they feel safe to do it but thats it.

That was the most Oilerrific empty net goal you'll ever see.
Oilers are pressing with the clock ticking down, Hall passes to the point and it goes through Clendenning's legs and down the ice. Coyle is following him, but not really putting any pressure on since the time is almost up. Clendenning tries to throw the puck up the boards to kill the clock, but whiffs completely and it flutters onto Coyle's stick for an easy empty netter.
Cut to McLellan on the bench saying "You've got to be ####ing kidding me."

Mcjesus has learned the oilers ways.
Pouliott feeds him for a tap in and wonder boy doesn't even look at him until after the big solo skate and arm wave. Nothing says nice pass like telling your reflection how awesome you are.

I think that's three straight losses for the Canucks at Rogers Arena by identical scores of 5-2

I don't know about you guys, but I'm starting the think that the western Canadian teams aren't very good.

The Canadian teams aren't very good. All seven Canadian teams are in the bottom 9 of the league. Exciting draft for Canada and Canadian media this year. Draft lottery as well!
Interesting OOT tonight. MIN and ARI win to stay in the playoff race and get a cushion on us. VAN fails to win and looks to be falling out of the playoff race. Big draft pick battle vs them Fri night. Are they sellers if they beat us or do they think the playoffs are still possible? Sellers if they don't? Do they refuse to sell at all?
Only EDM, CGY and WPG look to be confirmed big sellers from the West.
In the East TOR, CBJ, BUF, OTT and MTL could sell. PHI/CAR are in that nether region close to the playoffs and may or may not sell or partially sell.

Huh? Carolina's only 4 points back of the last 2 playoff spots and Philly's just 6 back. These teams are in the close region.

It's good that there are not a large amount of sellers and those that are don't have quality defense. We may just end up getting a 1st for Russell. If there are only 2-3 different options and 7-8 teams that could use a #4, it may just end up that we get an over payment.
The thing that would not entirely surprise me despite not making much sense is that the return for Russell may exceed Hudler due to the volume of other options on the market.

Okay, let's start with the eastern conf. The Capitals squeak out a thrilling 3-2 OT win over the Islanders. OV scores 2 goals in 87 seconds early in the 2nd period. Neilsen ties the game for the Isles with under 2 minutes in reg time to get a single point. Williams scores the GWG with 44 seconds left in OT. The Rangers win 4-2 over the Leafs as JT Miller has 3 assists for the Rangers. The Leafs tie it up with 2.5 minutes left in reg time, Rangers score the GWG a minute later and a minute after that, they score an empty netter. The Penguins win 6-3 over Detroit as both teams had a shooting gallery at the goalies. It was 39-38 for the Pens and Mrazek was pulled in the 3rd period after letting in 5 goals. That was a crazy 3rd period in the Jets-Bolts game, 6 goals in that period. Tampa with the 6-5 SO win. The Predators win 2-0 over the Bruins, Rinne with the SHUTOUT stopping all 29 shots. The Sharkies with the 2-1 SO win over the Panthers. It's bizarre that only 4 shots happened in the 3rd period. The Sens keep their faint playoff hopes alive beating the Hurricanes 4-2. Ottawa scored 2 goals in the 3rd period for the win. The east is crowded, 8 points separate 2nd to 9th place!

It sure is and the Canucks post game show kept saying this isn't a repeat broadcast. The Ducks crushed the Canucks in the 2nd and 3rd periods and Anaheim is poised to overtake the Kings. The Stars must have had an off night as the Coyotes beat them 6-3. Domi, Dulcair, and Hanzal all had 3 points. Elliot wins the goalier duel vs Quick as the Blues beat the Kings 2-1 in OT, Swartz with the GWG. The Wild beat the stupid Oilers.
