God, I hate comments like this.
Bouma has played a fifth of the minutes he did last season. He's played them in a 4th line role, whereas last year he was our second line LW.
Just because he's having a bad season (and he is) doesn't = mailing it in/not caring. I'm sure Bouma would love to have a point that isn't an empty-netter this season.

Dunno, but I don't think you can claim his effort levels are the same this season as they were last season. Not even talking about his production, talking about his all round play. One thing with Hartley is he rewards hard work every night, Bennett shows that. But for Bouma to be a healthy scratch shows how poorly he's been playing since his return from both injuries. He's been woeful and like I say, I'm not even talking about his production.

Yep the "player x doesn't care" is such a ridiculous thing to say. I always find it cringe worthy to read as a fan.
These guys would do anything to be contributing more, sometimes it just doesn't happen. But to question their motivations, or effort, or heart, is pretty annoying.

I know it's hard to measure "heart" or "how much he cares", but I can only use the eye test. I'm not seeing much of either from Bouma this season. He's seems much too cozy with his new contract. I'm guessing Hartley is not seeing enough effort either or he would be getting more ice-time.

Yes but to be completely fair Bouma missed 20+ games just 3 games into the season with a broken leg only to come back for another few games before having another freak leg injury and more time lost. Add to that a nice, new contract with new found fan expectations and its easy to see why he's struggling... I cant say that his effort level has been suspect though, Bouma lays it all on the line every game, I don't see him ever not caring...
The only time I agree with that not caring crap is when I look at a guy like Semin who you could tell had all the talent and tools to be great, but mailed it in especially near the end there. Same thing with Yashin, even Kovalev bothered me that way. Guys like Bouma should never be painted with that brush....

I think its fair to say Bouma has been a disappointment this season. Pretty hard for a fan to measure the player's "care" level.

Wild PP 3 for 3. Bollig ask for a fight and the opponent refuses due to a pimple on his forehead.
Last but not the least, a linesman is cross-checked by another ref., with hearing in Toronto set for Jan 31, 2018.

Trelving on the fan right now.
-Widemans case: not pleased with the result, knew it was the likeliest scenario though.
- Hiller and Ortio will get a chance (we all know that means Hiller gets all the starts rain or shine)
-Trades: Looking at all options. Scouring the earth for the best deals possible. Won't sell the future etc etc.....
- Goalie search is the priority. Won't be getting a short term fix.
As per the usual. It's all about "the process" ad nauseum with Treliving.
I was only half listening but there was a lot more of talking in process circles not really giving too much up.

^ this. LOL
Im not sure what other fans expect, but i would like to see a youth movement now and for the remainder of the season. Even without trades, just sit a couple of vets to see what you get from some of the kids who have earned a shot.

If Hiller lets in 4 goals tonite, I hope Hartley staples his behind to the pine for the balance of the season.
For the Wild to score four the magic formula is to shoot for the upper part of the net - not giving anything away as every NHL shooter knows Hiller drops to his knees faster than a paralyzed mudhen in a hailstorm.

The reason for the later start time is due to it being Wednesday with the NBCSN game starting at 1800h Mountain. Had that game commenced thirty minutes earlier, the Flames game would have done the same. It is a good start time for viewers in the Pacific time zone.

The Flames game will be on Sportsnet West after the completion of the Habs-Avlanche game.
