Did it 7 times and flames were in top 3 six of seven times with getting first overall three of those times.

Is it wrong to want all the other teams to win a lot more? Last night when the leafs tied it up late I got really excited and my buddy who's a leafs fan got bad. Then when the rangers scored I got mad and he got happy. Is that wrong or realistic?

Maple Leafs fans want a top 3 pick so do Oiler fans. With less than 25 games to go we will be seeing a lot of teams starting to suck.

That play by Reilly was just bad. It was just too bad not to think they're honestly tanking. They had just tied it up late in the game and instead of getting at least one point the guy who was arguably the best player on the ice for most of the night has a "gaff" right by his own net resulting in a GWG in the last couple mins. At least when the Flames lose, it's because they're not good enough.

I'm tempted to try again to see if I can drop the Oilers down but I think I'll leave it as is

I ran a series of 10 rounds and just looked at the first three picks in each round. I then assigned 30 points for a first round pick, 20 points for a second and 10 points for a third.

Based on this the top seven teams that scored the highest weighted average overall score were as follows:

1. Buffalo - 120 points
2. Toronto - 90 points
3. Columbus - 90 points
4. Calgary - 70 points
5. Edmonton - 70 points
6. Winnipeg - 50 points
7. Vancouver - 50 points

I thinks this might give some indication of relative ranking, however it would be best to write an algorithm that would run this draft a 1000 times or 10,000 times to get a more precise reading.

Anyway Calgary's chances of a top pick are good. Interesting enough Calgary had first pick twice in my scenario.

Let's just hope Bettman uses one of these and does what we all do and just restarts whenever the oilers get first overall.

I think Oilers fans would actually rather see their team finish 25th-26th place. But without Klefbom they have an awful defense and don't stand a chance.

Also has pick odds for each team depending on where they are in the standings

So if you finish 5th last, you have a 26.3% chance at one of the lottery picks, a 9.1% chance at picking 5th, and a 64.7% chance of picking 6th through 8th.

Need more tank (I hate saying that)
