Winter Classic or Stadium Series game.

I can see Toronto having a game like the Canucks did.

The ATMs then froze up so you couldn't withdraw cash. The beer was legitimately frozen into a slushy-like consistency which was not pleasant, and that's not even the worst part.

The concourse was so packed that it literally came to a halt (on the west stands at least). No one could move.

The bathrooms? Ha, don't make me laugh. Guys pissing in the concourses because the bathrooms were too packed.

Although BMO is a little nicer than McMahon, it's not much better at all. Besides, how can you top the game at Big House last year?

I disagree.

I had a blast, I sold my extra set of gloves for 6 beers delivered to my seat?

The band that played sucked, but thankfully they were hard to hear from our side.

This is now official. Toronto vs Detroit at BMO Field on January 1, 2017.

It will be called the "Centennial Classic", so as to not conflict with Winnipeg's Heritage Classic, or the Winter Classic, which will likely happen on January 2 (Chicago at St Louis).

Should have been Toronto vs. Montreal then.

I bet they do another "Centennial Classic" during the 2017-18 season with the Senators vs the Habs in Ottawa (apparently, the Sens are trying to figure out some way to have a game at Parliament Hill).

In the press release, the NHL calls the Toronto game "the first-ever NHL Centennial Classic", which is an odd way to phrase that unless they plan on having a second-ever one.

Its also odd because can the "first ever" anything also be "classic"?

New life goal: Live until I am 96 so I can attend the Calgary Flames Centennial Classic in the stadium the city builds after CalgaryNEXT is obsolete.

The League has now also confirmed that the Winter Classic will be played between the Hawks and Blues at Busch Stadium in St Louis on January 2. The Penguins will also host the Flyers in a Stadium Series game at Heinz Field on February 18.

Heinz Field will become the first stadium to host two NHL outdoor games in different seasons (Yankee Stadium hosted two within a week of each other in 2014).

Just what we needed, yet another effing game involving the Hawks.
