Yeah for needing to win so badly, we've been completely sub par. Even if we won the willie wonky sweepstakes and got gifted a playoff spot we'd never make it out of the first round.

Seriously time to move ufas, Bennett to C, kids more play time. Setup for next year...best we can do at this point.

Lets be real here. Hiller can have his moments but overall he's not an NHL goaltender you can rely on game in and game out.

Furlatt has doled out an absurd amount 33 penalties in 2 games 19 on the Flames.
And the NHL preaches about accountability ya right.
The refs that are horrible like Furlatt in the NHL have all mighty power over a hockey game and make a mockery out of the game. TFurlatt is one of those refs that play favorites and drools at the chance to call 2 man disadvantages to bury a team.

Yep this off season for me I'm going to be alot more critical of BT. We desperately need an NHL goaltender. We also need to find a top line RW and more second line scoring. Still not sold on keeping Russell either.

Unless Hartley gets fired that's unlikely.

I get to three or four on powerplays (though I guess you might discount this with the fact that they generally get a free pass or two coming up the ice). The issues really pops up at even strength, where the Flames end up kicking the puck around with incredible frequency. The first pass out of their own end is where it's the most prevalent (especially the drop passes to nobody), but it's also a massive concern when they move the puck back to the point offensively.

Never liked hiller but this season I loathe him. The rest of the team sucked balls tonight too.

I'm still not sure if Hamilton is actually any good. But I'm not sure if any of the flames bottom 4 are any good so it's tough to tell.

Sam Bennett might end up my favorite flame in a long long time. Even in a game like tonight's I like watching him.

Beer time.

I think he's been good for months now? He was one of the better players tonight too, imo, but that is not saying much at all of course. Playing with Russell sure isn't helping any.

We need another rock solid d-man to play with him. Someone like Hamonic would be just perfect. I'll also add that Brodie probably wasn't as good as Dougie is now at 22(could be wrong as I don't have a great memory). He's going to be a great d-man.

Yep I agree.

Gio - Brodie
Hamilton - Hamonic

That top 4 is drool-worthy. I'd make every effort (within reason) to trade for Hamonic and the rights to Okposo in the off-season.

Give them Russell. He's a 5 year/5.5 million calibre defenceman

Can we actually see Nakladal for more then 1:45 now? Hartley, get your delusional head out of your pipedream ###. Playing Nakladal for a few games is not going to be the cause of missing the playoffs.

Am I being paranoid when I say that it feels like the refs are punishing us for the Wideman incident and subsequent stance over it?

It just seems ridiculous that we go from being the 2nd least penalised team in the league to taking almost 20 penalties in 2 games.
