McDavid celebrating like he just won the cup whenever he scores. Taking cues from Yakupov.

ENG for Eberle's hat trick, McDavid with 5 points.

This is the hilight of the year for the Oil.

Here comes the talk of the oilers making the playoffs again, sigh.

Jeff O'Neil called a 5 point game for McDavid on the TSN pre game show.

Ristolainen available there but the Oilers passed on him. He's looking like the better young player so far.

They can't even seem to get top 10 picks right. Seguin, Landeskog, Galchenyuk/Murray/Rielly/Trouba, Ristolainen, Draisaitl, McDavid could have been their core.

I just got back from the Oilers Leafs game (I was there with clients).

The Eberle McDavid combo has really impressive chemistry. They will be a problem for us for years to come. I will call it now - they will be the next Sedin duo in terms of giving us fits.

That being said, Nurse does not have much hockey IQ out there. Hall is a lazy player. Drysightall was non-existent.

Oiler fans ridicule Schultz as much as CP does. He cannot be enjoying his time there.

That really is amazing and they have an 8 point lead and 5 games in hand on the #2 team overall, the Bhawks.

I suspect the problem is going to be McDavid and whoever he's playing with. Eberle is just today's Anson Carter/Alex Burrows guy riding shotgun.

Watching last night, Pouliot is the Anson Carter. Every opportunity he is looking to pass the puck to McDavid, even when he's got the puck in the slot and should be shooting.

Eberle has some skill and some hands. He's not had to use them in the NHL because he was encouraged to mail it in season after season.

That was an entertaining OOT. The Bruins realized they had to play better and sure did as they beat the Jets 6-2. Marchand with 3 points and Rask with 34 saves. It was a wild 1st period as the Jets lead 18-11 in shots, but, the Bruins were up 3-2 as teams alternated scoring goals. Hellebucyk was pulled after the 1st period. There was no scoring in the 2nd and the Bruins didn't get a shot until halfway through. The Avs win 4-3 in reg time over the Sens. Iggy is amazing as he had a 3 point night. The Avs had a 3-0 lead in the 2nd period and the Sens closed the gap to 3-2 heading into the 3rd. All 5 goals were on the PP. The Avs scored an empty net goal and then the Sens scored with 26 seconds left. The Capitals squeak by the Wild 4-3 in reg time. Ovechkin with a 2nd period natural hattrick! Dubnyk isn't doing that voodoo he was doing last year. The Wild have really sucked for a while now. What the heck happened to the Bhawks in the 1st period of their game against the Stars? The Stars led 4-0 after the 1st with Patrick Eaves scoring a hattrick, Crawford was yanked after that in favour of Darling. The Bhawks scored twice in the final period out shot the Stars 21-2, Dallas hangs on to win 4-2. Thanks to the BJs for the 3rd period come back against the Ducks and winning 4-3 in the SO. The BJs were down 3-1 in the 3rd. Korpisalo is playing really well for the BJs. The Islanders with the surprise 5-2 win over the Kings. Enroth was in net due to Quick being injured late in the Bruins game, he's listed day to day. The Flyers beat the Sabres 5-1. Mason faced 42 Buffalo shots and was the reason for the Flyers win. It was scoreless after the 1st period and then the Flyers scored 4 goals in the 2nd including Umberger with his 1st goal in over a year. In the battle of the cellar dwellers, the Oilers beat the Leafs 5-2.

It pisses me off that the NHL gave that Gong Show a get out of jail free card. Ridiculous they are continually rewarded for their ineptitude - and will be once again with a top 5 pick this year.

Remember when Yakupov had a renaissance because he was playing with McDavid?
