TB has decided to score all their goals off the other team. Thats a bold strategy Cotton, lets see if it pays off.

It's a funny season.
The bottom was much, much bottomier last year. Last year at the same time Edmonton and Buffalo had 29 and 30 points respectively and had a goal differential of -120. This year the bottom two have 34 points each and a goal differential of -51. Last year there were 7 teams with less than 40 points, this year there's only 3. There's simply no more free points

I'm still waiting for both of them to do it for more than a stretch of games.

Pietrangelo scores for the Blues to tie it. It is still 1-1 with six minutes left in regulation time.

Brouwer wins it late into the shootout, Quick throws a fit and snaps his stick again.
Will Ferrell looks on with disappointment from the crowd.

Or in this case, outright cheer for a team beating the Leafs.......that's in direct, and I mean DIRECT competition with the Flames for a playoff spot.
Obviously, if you're not a Flames fan then all of that is okay (other than it's slightly annoying to read for Flames fans that are hoping to make the playoffs), I guess I just always assumed you were a Flames fan and had it wrong?

Thank you for your comments. I agree that I favour and prioritize OOT games that are on national television. I enjoy the hype for most of those games.
I do admit that I have minimized Pacific Division teams' games because they are on Centre Ice. Fellow CP posters have messaged me this season about this and I changed a few things. The divisional opponents games are now in larger and bolded font with the pregame links on most nights.
I can be blinded by the hatred I have for the Leafs especially when it comes to national coverage of them, just like the CBC and TSN were blinded by their infatuation of the stinkin' Leafs.

Well obviously if we keep losing and add to this ONE GAME losing streak then we'll fall further back in the standings. Geez guys, I know it hasn't been the ideal season, but we're right in the thick of the playoff race, and were literally just in the playoff a couple days ago.
To put things in perspective, we won 7, then lost 2, then won 2, then lost two, then won 2, then lost 1. We're not world beaters, but we're playing pretty good hockey, but we go into this submissive 'Oh well, maybe next year' mode every time we lose a game.

I've got another scenario that could potentially play out. What if San Jose loses to Calgary on Monday and then they lose the one after that? Then we could be in a playoff spot and they could be well back!!!
And before you say you're being realistic due to how we've been playing, remember that A) Frolik is likely back in the next game or so, and B) You're calling for three losses in row which last happened November 28 with this team. So you can't say recent trends show that your overly pessimistic outlook will happen.
