Yeah, I know about the Kraft dinner demo but that doesn't count... Hell, I was the guy who brought it up with the lead producer at the time.

Why doesnt it count? A demo is a demo whether you can download it or if you have to buy a box of KD to get it.

Let me break it down for you...
To me the point of a demo is to promote your game, a way easier accessable than a month and a half after the game has been out and you need to buy a case of KD to get a demo of a game you already have sitting on your shelf at home...
A downloadable demo before the game's release did not happen last year therefore they should've made the teams Tampa vs Calgary. [/b][/quote]
A demo is to promote your game but it's also to let the person try the game before they actually buy even after the game is released.
I dont buy a game unless I try it first and have waited in the past for a demo to come out before buying a game that's already released. If a demo never gets released or is taking too long to come out then I download the game(like I did with NHL 05) and then decide whether it's worth buying.
I do agree though that they should have stuck with Tampa Bay and Calgary for the demo since they were the last teams to play in the finals.
