Sat back a little too much in the 3rd for my liking. Could have cost us at the end, but thankfully it didn't. One fluky bounce off the boards aside at the end, we played a solid game and kept them down to a handful of decent scoring chances. I think its time we put Ferland with Monahan and Gaudreau. Colborne just isn't quick or skilled enough to play with them, which is fine. He's a 3rd line winger anyway. But we need some more speed and energy on that 1st line as Sean and Johnny are lagging a little bit at the moment.
Good start to the home stand. Good to see the secondary scoring picking up the loads, the defence continues to improve which is good to see. PP still needs some work, not nearly a consistent enough threat. All in all, good game.
As for the Lightning, man do they look flat at the moment. All these off ice issues with Drouin and Stamkos can't be helping the atmosphere in their dressing room right now. They weren't that great when we played them in Florida earlier in the season either. Yet another team like the Ducks that was supposed to be dominating this season as a contender that instead looks like a shadow of themselves. But hey, they deserve it for 2004 right? ;-)
Oh and great for Bouma to get the EN at the end. Now that's he starting to get his legs under him, I'd like to think he can start finding his offensive groove like he did last season. Not expecting 16 goals or anything unrealistic, but making the odd play and scoring the odd goal would be nice, especially with Frolik and Hudler out.
I jinxed Gaudreau prior to the Ducks game... It's my bad.
Now he's on a cold streak. But it's pretty clear to see why, he's playing too much on the perimeter. The cross ice one timer he took was the first time in the game he did something in a dangerous area.
But it's okay cause dat D tho... A two dman-led rush leading to a goal? Classic.
I was totally thinking this too. With our prospect pool, it should only get better. In a dream world we could secure that Pulljarrvi (sp?) kid out of Finland for our top 6.
If Tampa Loses I take full blame as I won't be at the game.
Tampa's record with me in attendance at the Saddledome is 7-2
I was planning on going but unforeseen circumstances have made it impossible for me to go tonight so I will be watching on TV.
I know that feel, bro

The good news? We are only 5 points out of second in the division.
The bad news? We are only 5 points out of 13th in the Atlantic...
This is going to be a hell of a year. It should be fun either way.

Another loss is all we get when this team is "mad" or is going out "to make statement"... or whatever the usual pre-game interviews are.

Statement game for sure.

Wow, the moment that line steps on the ice they **** the bed.

sorry guys, that was my fault...
They scored right after I turned the game on, my bad.

At this point I will treat everyone on this thread to a steak dinner from Longhorn if the Lightning actually win tonight.
The worst line ever
Quote:
Stamkos is what -10 and Flip is like -9 or something whats Killorns +/-
Thats probably not a good thing to have them all on the same line!?!?

Two negatives equal a positive so the two worst minus players on the ice together also equals a positive

Lol KFS gets pinned down so easily. Seriously Drouin got benched for less. Also I figured out why Coop keeps putting that line together. They all have a 1 in their numbers.

Turnovers in front of the net.
Turnover overs behind the net
Good idea.

Lucky to be only down by one.

Flames feed showing Stamkos getting clowned by Gaudreau several times that period.

How is this game 1-0 and how are we out shooting Calgary?

Bishop and perimeter shots
Quote:
Simple, the SOG we have are all either bad angle shoots or shoots from the blueline, all which Ramo have had no problems seening or saving.
Jones makes it 2-0

I'm rooting for Calgary. Maybe with the Drouin fiasco and utter embarrassing showing of a so called pro hockey team, Yzesus might decide enough is enough.

I think I'll join you.

This team just can't do anything right. They can't forecheck. They can't backcheck. Perimeter shots. Can't connect two passes.
Absolute embarassment. Think I'm gonna "be busy" the next few games. Waste of time and waste of a season.
Quote:
Confirmed, Drouin was the heart, soul, and intelligence of the team.
Stamkos makes it 2-1

There's your useless Stamkos goal. Stats padded.

Ah there's the meaningless goal

Oh hey look, a goal, with a minute or so left, how about that.

I don't get this team. They just got roundly outplayed by a .500 club. This sloppy, embarrassment of a game, combined with the losses to the slumping NYR and MON teams, has inspired a new catchphrase.
The Tampa Bay Lightning - making #######s into all-stars since 2015.

Making mediocre goalies look like Vezina winners since 2015.
Oh, you went there

Damn Flames can't seem to lose these days. 3 games on hand on us too

Not to say that they are gonna win at the December pace the rest of the season but this has to be closer to the real team than October/November garbage
Can't see the D drop off a cliff again and hopefully Ramo can continue his solid play. Notice he is in control now and not flopping all over the place
