Sat back a little too much in the 3rd for my liking. Could have cost us at the end, but thankfully it didn't. One fluky bounce off the boards aside at the end, we played a solid game and kept them down to a handful of decent scoring chances. I think its time we put Ferland with Monahan and Gaudreau. Colborne just isn't quick or skilled enough to play with them, which is fine. He's a 3rd line winger anyway. But we need some more speed and energy on that 1st line as Sean and Johnny are lagging a little bit at the moment.

Good start to the home stand. Good to see the secondary scoring picking up the loads, the defence continues to improve which is good to see. PP still needs some work, not nearly a consistent enough threat. All in all, good game.

As for the Lightning, man do they look flat at the moment. All these off ice issues with Drouin and Stamkos can't be helping the atmosphere in their dressing room right now. They weren't that great when we played them in Florida earlier in the season either. Yet another team like the Ducks that was supposed to be dominating this season as a contender that instead looks like a shadow of themselves. But hey, they deserve it for 2004 right? ;-)

Oh and great for Bouma to get the EN at the end. Now that's he starting to get his legs under him, I'd like to think he can start finding his offensive groove like he did last season. Not expecting 16 goals or anything unrealistic, but making the odd play and scoring the odd goal would be nice, especially with Frolik and Hudler out.

It depends on if you think the Flames of December are for real. Given they started with crap goaltending and defence, I think this is the real item.

A tad bit bummed Ramo didn't get the shutout, but that was a solid team effort. Great win.

Ramo didn't get the shut out, but his performance was worth just as much as one.

Dare I say we have the best bottom 6 in the NHL?

They're good, but that's a bit of a stretch.

I jinxed Gaudreau prior to the Ducks game... It's my bad.

Now he's on a cold streak. But it's pretty clear to see why, he's playing too much on the perimeter. The cross ice one timer he took was the first time in the game he did something in a dangerous area.

But it's okay cause dat D tho... A two dman-led rush leading to a goal? Classic.

I was totally thinking this too. With our prospect pool, it should only get better. In a dream world we could secure that Pulljarrvi (sp?) kid out of Finland for our top 6.

Shame he lost the shutout, but Ramo is really playing well.

More goodness from Stajan. And Brodie and Giordano were awesome.

We need 2 RWs stat.

Not to say that they are gonna win at the December pace the rest of the season but this has to be closer to the real team than October/November garbage

Can't see the D drop off a cliff again and hopefully Ramo can continue his solid play. Notice he is in control now and not flopping all over the place
