Early days yet - but Canada typically has problems in this tournament when they count on 18 year olds as key guys.

Outside of Ekblad and Sam Bennett - the 2014 NHL draft looks pretty bleak for Canadian players. Dal Colle got cut, the two defenseman Fleury and Sanheim are playing big roles, but a pretty ick group besides them.

Fantastic shift by Marner.

Ooof, Flames level of PP here. Blackwood bails out the power play unit.

If this is the best they can play, they are not going to make the medal round.

You gotta think Lowry can put other guys on the PP here. Strome is the only one thats any good IMO.

Offense waking up a bit. Good sustained pressure on that last shift.

I'm laughing at Gord Miller and Ray Ferraro having to constantly say that Swiss goalie's name as fast as they can.

I think you have to give the Swiss alot of credit here. They are playing very well and executing the typical "underdog" gameplan to basiclaly perfection right now. Not saying Canada has played great, but part of that is the Swiss. They are all over the ice.

has Canada ever lost to Switzerland before???

If we're being honest, Canada does not look very good. A lot of their shots are getting blocked, they aren't using each other very well, not quick enough on one-timers, etc. This team does not look like a championship caliber team. Strome and occasionally Marner are the only ones worth writing home about.

No wonder the Swiss are doing so well they've got Malkin and Suter playing for them!

How is that not cheating?
