He made some fantastic saves for sure. But the player of the night has to be Bob Hartley. He made adjustments.

Why does Russell sounds like he was born in Yugoslavia? What kind of accent is that?

Flames with all the experience in OT makes a huge difference. Other teams are still figuring out that you can't be out of position by even just 5 ft as it will be a 2 on 1 the other way and that space can't be regained.
Ramo excellent.
Flames don't need to dominate 60 minutes like some posters seem to demand. Weathered the storm, got screwed on a goal call, and game was in their favour more or less from there on in.

Johnny saucer pass Gaudreau!
Russell did a great job getting that puck settled and away.

Wills threw out a "Heeeeeeere's Johnny" on the OT winner.
Edit: beaten by Jiri... Agree it was lame, but both times it resulted in goals so I can't complain!

Wow! Wow Wow Wow! That frickin kid is something else. 9 OT points for him now. Really gritty effort from the Flames. One for the purists, they dug in and ground that one out.
By the Jets definition, isn't that a shutout for Ramo because he only conceded on a penalty shot?
I do think we can officially say that our PP is now the single biggest anchor on this team right now. Goaltending slips into 2nd and the PK comes in 3rd. Man, if we could get our PP going, we'd be laughing right now.

Things said by the "realists" just six games ago.
Playoffs aren't gonna happen
Let's tank for Matthews
It's just not gonna happen
People who believe they have a shot at playoffs are blind homers
This team sucks
I'm done with this team

Yeah, Ramo was the best player for Calgary tonight. Great, smart, composed game from him.
And suddenly the Flames are in the playoff mix. Could be another entertaining season after all.

The helmet needs to go to Ramo this game. Solid game from him especially when the Flames were under siege.

Coach Hartley's playbook: Act like you're drunk, lull the opposition in thinking you suck, tie it up and send it to OT, Johnny will do the rest.

Don't look now, but we just leap frogged Edmonton AND Vancouver, and still have a game in hand on Vancouver and two on Edmonton. That is a good night!

He's been solid for 3-4 games in a row. He had one bad defensive play, but a couple good clears as well. He actually fits with Gaudreau and Brodie as far as staying with them up the ice.
