Hudler may be a good fit...Anaheim isn't scoring, so he may work for Anderson.

If the Ducks are all in, then I'd package all of hudler, jones and Russell, with 2 50% retained. Or two of the above and a 2nd.
Remember, talbot netted a 1st, and Anderson is far more proven.

Talbot netted a (very late) 2nd, a 3rd and a 7th. Lehner netted a 1st.

Andersen is an average G...I wouldn't bother.

Career average (reg season) and contract status.
Andersen: .917, RFA this summer
Bernier: .915, 1 more year at 4.15M.
Bernier had to deal with a crappier team so its pretty much a toss up. We are going to need a Goalie next year. With Gillies injury he is probably going get at least a full season in Stockton next year. Probably could use a Bridge Goalie for 2-3 years to give Gillies time to develop and have a good vet for him to learn from when he comes up.
As long as we dont go for Cam Ward im happy.

Hudler isn't scoring either.
I'm a fan of Anderson, but I don't want another Ducks goalie... It's all part of the curse!

I wouldn't make a move for a goalie at this point, build the rest of the team around the goalie to a contender then add the goalie
or you get in a position like NJ is in where the goalie is keeping them from getting more high end talent by winning them games on his own

Disagree. I kind of think that the goalies are holding this team back right now. If we wait for Gillies, we will lose Monahan, Gaudreau, Gio, Brodie, Hamilton and Bennett's awesome years.
There is a reason Tre was shopping for a goalie in the off-season.
Personally I thought Ortio was ready. I was wrong. I still hope we have our goalie within, but the Flames management would be crazy not to be looking for a number 1 goalie somewhere!!

I remember wanting Bernier when he was on the outs in L.A.
Not sure he would be an upgrade given his downfall, kind of feel bad for him being stuck in T.O.
I dunno, I still think Bernier has potential to be a good G in this league, problem is he sucks behind a sucky team in Toronto, so he would probably suck behind a sucky team this year in Calgary too...

I just don't like Hiller at all, and Ramo, for god sakes hug that post man, it's so frustrating to see Ramo make some really great saves and then look lost on the short side and wrap arounds...it's firkin embarrassing..

I'd still prefer to go hard for Raanta this summer.

My hope is that Ortio finds his game in the AHL to the point where he can come back up come spring time and that we somehow unload Hiller. At this point, even though Hiller is more fundamentally sound than Ramo, he seems to care more about this shiny equipment than his performance.
Is there perhaps a fundamental issue with Jordan Sigalet? Like what the hell is he teaching these guys?

Or like Vancouver where the Sedins are doing just that?

I agree with buying low on Bernier.
He was irritatingly good in that season after going to the Leafs. Held them in so many games. We're better than Toronto and while we've had defensive lapses, the team as a whole is improving and will not be as ####y to play behind as the Leafs.

Freddy looked reallllll good early this year. If that's the goalie u get id be real happy getting him.
Otherwise I think Bernier is worth the risk for very little payment.
Ps. Doubtful anaheim trades inter division anyway.

I always like Bernier, and at this point in the season, he is about the only one that I would trade for. We are a long shot to make the playoffs. Lets keep our assets and see what we can do in the summer. Anderson in the offseason would be worth a look.

Don't go full Oiler and start trading away valuable assets for goaltenders. Unless we get one cheap, like Bernier, and can pawn off one of the dufi we have, *cough* Hiller *cough*, I'd be hesitant to bring in another goaltender for anything that has some value.

People keep touching on the Jordan Sigalet thing but it never goes anywhere. I really believe this is a big part of the problem. How do 3 goalies get that bad over the summer?
