I have a friend I went to elementary school with who became a Jets fan because Joey Mullen was rude to him trying to get an autograph.

True Story.

The one good thing I can say about Doan is that he's been loyal to the Coyotes not like our star who wanted out as soon as things went south.

Go see what the people in his community think of him. It's not just me. By that logic he's a bad guy because some guy on the internet said he was.

Hate to stick up for the Nucks, but that penalty call on Sbisa was ridiculous. Basically 2 minutes for a big hit. Hate calls like that.

okay I guess Iggy went south as well

It was a good hit that also happened to involve hitting the guy in the face with his stick. Dunno how they can not call that.

Also there's a dude in the Vancouver end in a red Hawks jersey standing throughout the play and banging on the glass whenever the play is near him. That guy and all like him can go die in a fire.

He might be a great guy off the ice, but he has been a cheap shot artist on the ice for 20 years. And rarely gets called out for it.

Down in Florida for work. Went to the Panthers game. That was very entertaining. Comebacks, two penalty shots and ot. Good crowd but probably half Rangers fans.

On a side note. With the arena discussion ongoing I thought I would mention that BB&T arena probably has some features Calgary would be looking at. Most of all there is a big priority on premium seating with a large lower bowl, multiple layers of suite and club seats and a small upper bowl. I liked that all the concession areas were cut outs off the concourse so there were no line where people walked through.

You mean when he was asked to lift his NTC? After everyone was calling him selfish for refusing to beforehand?

What a horrible guy

Didn't see that initially. If so, my bad.

He's the one who refused to re-sign. What were they supposed to do with him.

It is ridiculous.

The BS cheap artist rap is garbage as well.

Wasn't there some nothing play a few years ago that many Flames fan whined about (and apparently still do) that started that crap out for many people?

Well the Vancouver 5 on 3 was a bit of a joke too. Dive and a soft crosscheck that didn't even knock the guy down.

And only after over 15 years of both good times and bad, and I would argue more of the latter.

It's incredible the revisionist history some posters will come up with regarding Iginla. It's baffling.

What revisionist history. He wanted out.

This is in comparison to Doan who showed loyalty to his team under worse circumstances.
