Dont worry guys. Im sure Hartley will sub in Raymond next game to shake things up and to spread the suck around. I guess all of those 40 foot putts from last year finally caught up with us.

How anyone is blaming ramo is beyond me

We could not get the puck out of our own zone. It was turnover after turnover.
Brodie serves up the first and gwg on a silver platter
Gio with a terrible dump at the end
Engelland trying to set a turnover record
Russell trying to get way to fancy and having the puck taken off his stick numerous times
Hamilton needs to wake up or Hartley needs to wake him up

If the D were not getting burnt wide then they played it overly safe, didnt bother standing the panthers up at the blue line and let them set up.

Pretty disappointed with that last goal... so soft... Also, what the heck was Gio thinking on that last play, wasted 15 seconds making up his mind then just flipped the puck down the ice for icing. Pretty worried about him, especially his upcoming big contract.

Gaudreau is unreal. Every game he creates so many things. Too bad he wasn't able to bury one tonight. Also think Colborne has looked really good this year and using his body along the boards.

Forward lines got dominated, you can blame the defensemen all you want but when the forwards never give the D a good outlet, can never skate the puck up the ice, never keep sustained zone time, all that means ****-all.

Want to see:

Gaudreau-Bennett-Jooris
Ferland-Monahan-Frolik
Hudler-Backlund-Jones
Colborne-Stajan-Grant

I think Treliving should explore trading Giordano while he still has value. Despite his struggles I believe a defensive needy team would offer up a good forward or even goaltender.

Way too much Wideman hate on this game. Brodie and Gio were our issues on the back end tonight.

And look, I've seen the first Gio is bringing down Brodie post. Gio's sucked, but Brodie sucked it up all on his own accord tonight. Brodie is really getting this weird Kipper like untouchability from some around here. Say anything to deflect blame being placed on #7

Maybe it time to give Ortio a few consecutive starts like Hartely gave Ramo. Wait no that's making sense and sounds fair. So it'll never happen sighs.

As worried as I am, I think it's too early to panic on Gio.

Because he anticipated that Jagr was going to get something on the shot and not semi-fan on it. By that time he had already closed five hole and couldn't kick the leg out fast enough. He also had to move laterally to follow Jagr because Giordano was standing around with his thumb in his ass and Stajan had sprawled all over the ice instead of taking the man. But hey, being a goaltender on this team is so damn easy. Especially when almost every opportunity you face is from between the hash marks and the opposition forwards have no fear of getting knocked on their can.

Just watched last 5 mins and all the goal highlights.

Our d is terrible. Rami was terrible. First 2 goals were brutal and that last goal was laughable. It basically rolled past ramo.

Hars to imagine this team really competing for anything other than just outside the playoffs this season.

The only thing I enjoyed about this game was watching Trocheck celebrate his "goal" lol

Exactly.

Wideman: +1
Brodie, Gio: -2

Brodie had a bad game, wouldn't say he is untouchable on CP though. He is amazing but IMO is going to put up a bad one from time to time.

Regardless of where people sit on Gio's game (and I agree he will turn it around) that contract is simply an issue and a waste if we aren't a contender in the next three years. This team is looking very very far away from that being a reality, and that reason, more than anything else to to with Gio is why the contract could be a mistake.

The way the team's playing. It would be criminal of Treliving to not explore all options. If there's a fit and it makes sense and doesn't set the organization back five years. And such a move would fill a need. Then perhaps trading one the "untouchables" should be on the table ?.

Gio's contract doesn't even kick in for another 8 months and some of you are calling for a trade...

Going to be a looong, loooong 6 years.

Mistakes are going to be made...plenty of them by our D tonight but the lack of speed in Wideman and Engelland is the scary part. Even if they play a perfect game their speed against forwards is an issue and it was obvious tonight.

I don't think so. Treliving still has a chance to sell high on a guy that's likely going to end up as a buyout. I really like Giordano but there is zero chance he lives up to the first half of the contract let alone the back half. He's a good leader but he's never been a great defensive defenseman and last year everything just clicked for him but that will never happen again.

Yep. It's a matter of time until he's the new whipping boy as he will never live up to the contract. I believe he should have been traded while his value was sky high in the offseason as he would have brought back a massive return. In another year teams will only be offering their bad contracts. I don't think he's going to be terrible for the first half of the deal but I doubt he lives up to the contract and that's the first three years of the deal. The last three years of the deal are going to be a disaster.
