I get math and all but it's hardly a situation to give up.
I think people are caught up on the 97 points to make it last year. But like someone mentioned already, the entire Pacific division is off to a slow start. If 97 is the magic number then these teams need to go:
It's likely only 3 from the Pacific will make it to the post season again. Seems wide open still with an emphasis on winning divisional games. You'd think at some point Calgary/Anaheim will start winning divisional games which will really make things very interesting. While I'm enjoying watching the Flames lose, don't give up yet. It's a long season.
The math isn't the concern, the concern is the lack of tangible evidence they will play better. They have been the worse team in almost all their loses. Their point total reflects their performance.
