Brodie was great tonight. The two goals that went in when he was on the ice had nothing to do with him.

Was kind of disappointed with Monahan and Hudler. Didn't see much from that line and it's pretty obvious that Gadreau is the straw that stirs the drink given Bennett's break out game. Hudler better get going as he's flushing July 1st money down the toilet coasting like this.

Lots of positives to take away, what a difference Brodie makes to this team. Sloppy, greasy game for both sides.
We lost but it was fun to watch. This team is finding its identity again. It is going to have to play much better vs. Montreal though, as Ottawa was not playing well at all.

Easiest penalty call of the night. Any Senators fan that thinks that was a bad penalty call simply needs to read the rule book. Goaltenders are protected for the exact reason Hiller had to leave the game as he's in a vulnerable state and Ryan came in full speed and put the shoulder into him.

@Fan960Wills: After collision with #Senators forward Bobby Ryan, #Flames goaltender Jonas Hiller has a lower body injury and will be reevaluated tomorrow.

Hudler with 2 points and a plus 1....and you're calling him out?
Monahan looked fine as well.

The positives are we were the better team BY FAR that game. Bennett was incredible (why he didn't play in OT is beyond me, terrible coaching IMO). Hamilton was good tonight, hopefully he's starting to settle in.
Really my only complaints are Backlund and Hiller.

You cannot let 4 goals in on 18 shots. It doesn't matter if they were quality chances or not. That's what you get paid to do. If we needed to a guy to make routine saves every night you could get someone from the A on a minimum contract.

Hiller wasn't fantastic but the team really needs to do a better job of clearing the front of the net and not allowing the puck to get to the slot so easily. Felt like one of those nights that every mistake turned into a goal against.
It's been a terrible start to the season but I think the effort tonight would win a lot of other games.

Hudler playing at a PPG pace and still gets hate from fans...I just don't get it. He's been one of the best players this season even if that's not saying much.

Thanks to Frolik cross-checking him into the net.
I think that at least should be offsetting minors but I am not sure what Ryan is supposed to do there with Frolik shoving him from behind into Hiller.
I'll take it but I (I think most on CP) would go crazy if that call goes against a Flame.

Almost $9 million tied up in goaltending, but still don't have anything close to resembling a legit #1 guy.
Something is wrong with Backlund, he clearly doesn't look like himself this year. I've always been a defender of him but it's pretty obvious now he's a band-aid boy and with the depth in the organization down the middle it's likely time to look at moving him in the near future.
Lotta positives to take away from the game though, but at the end of the day we're still 5 games under .500 with one less game to play.

I thought the Flames were by far the better team for 40 minutes. The 3rd was just crazy, both teams had good moments and terrible ones.
Hamilton was pretty good, his best game as a Flame.
Bennett was very good, hope this gets him on a nice hot streak now.
Money has been kinda quiet.

I love how Bennett punished the D that knocked Gaudreau down. If Bennett plays like that every night, I think he could be a darkhorse for rookie of the year consideration

Sometimes points don't tell the whole story.. Hudler has looked very lackadaisical for most of the season.
