With how crappy our division is, I'm already cheering for as many Kings losses as possible. I don't see Vancouver or SJ being that good, so if the Kings struggle out of the gate, they might dig too far a hole for them to recover. That would be good.

Bahahahahaaa....4-0 Yotes over the Kings. That's hilarious. I'm loving that result, and I don't like the Yotes at all.

BTW: Shots are 23-10 for the Kings.

Commie has literally never taken the high road. He took time out of complaint about Torres' suspension to whine about Babcock

Possible players turning on management and coaching in LA?

Treatment of Richards, other supposed incidents involving Darryl year?

I was creeping through Mike Commodores twitter and he recently walked a mile in high heels to support woman and children domestic abuse in Calgary.

He set up a go fund me page to raise money for the cause. The #1 biggest donator at $250?--Chuck Kobasew!

One thing I've noticed this year is that the American feeds are so sharp compared to what we get on Sportsnet. Pretty embarrassing how poor the quality is on Canadian TV compared to the U.S.

Cheers me up to see the Kings getting stomped twice in their own backyard.

What do we reckon is wrong with them? Slow start? Something more serious?

When Commodore is tweeting #FreeRaffi, that says all you need to know about him.

He is also interacting with the fans, and getting into pissing matches. When you are a well known former professional athlete, this never turns out well. Theo Fleury and Jose Cansenco had this habit of replying to negative tweets from fans, and it always turned out to be a complete train-wreck.

Never met Commodore, and have not read about any off ice problems, but he seems either immature, or possibly has a drinking problem. Either way, I would not discount what he says about Babcock. Sometimes the more emotional people, with a history of knee-jerk reactions tell it like they see it. Most of us with common sense would realize that picking a fight with a powerful man currently employed in the NHL, is not conductive to improving your chances of having some kind of role with the organizations that you played for.

In layman's terms, most people are smart enough to keep quiet, even if they despise the man, in fear of being blacklisted from the NHL, once your career is over.

Wow.

It's great to see the Jets young guns lighting it up. Ehlers, Petan, and Copp are all going to improve as the season goes on. Lipon and Morrissey are waiting for a call-up. Even the only goal against the Jets was scored by Trouba, assists coming from ex Jets Tlusty (credited with the goal), and Stempniak.

I have a feeling this is going to be a breakout season for Scheifele, as he has a history of starting out slow. If Pavs and Hutch can hold the fort, I think Winnipeg has a shot at a top 3 position in the Central.

That is some pretty lights out drafting.

Going to OT right now.
Isles' announcers tonight, Jiggs McDonald and Butch Goring...Their regular PBP guy, Howie Rose, was in LA to do baseball...

Most US Broadcasts are in High Def now...really makes for great viewing of hockey!

Six years later when I finally had a chance to take a shot back at him publicly I did so in the paper when I was in Columbus.
Commodore's rough ride in Detroit may have been Babcock's way of getting back at him. A lot of pettiness going around.

In the game in Brooklyn, both teams had some AWFUL turnovers...

From a purely 'Hawk fan POV, comparing tonight's game to the Rags game, on Wednesday...

Q started with TT with Hossa and Toews, and switched to Shaw...I didn't think that Shaw was good enough to stay with the top guys.

TVR and Daley looked more settled, and were, generally, better both in the D zone, and with the puck, in general.

Svedberg, clearly, had the yips...he was too soft playing the puck, and had some really bad turnovers...he also did a lot of reaching...he didn't seem ready for the speed of the game at the top level...Hopefully, he sorts out the game at the NHL level, but, he really was no worse than what we've seen of Rundblad over a larger sample. Sadly, Seabrook seemed wasted out there with that pairing. I would prefer to see Q to have flopped Hjammer and Seabs, on some shifts, to get Seabs going.

Line 2 was awesome in generating offense, less so in the D-end. Line 1 was in flux with Q shuffling the LW. Line 3 Bickell chunked a good chance when the score was 2-1, Tihkonov looked better than Baun did in the first game. TT was wasted with that pair, though. Line 4 was solid, again, in both the D-zone, and on the forecheck. Toews had struggled a little in the dot, vs. Tavares, Kruger took a few D-zone draws against him, and was about 50/50 on those D-zone draws. Being able to match our line 4 against top lines is a good luxury for Q.

On Tavares' goal, Hjammer was caught flat footed, but, Shaw failed to pressure Tavares' from the backside, and he seemed to be the next closest defender...Couldn't really blame CC for the 2 Isles' goals.

With my provider I have 13 channels of HD (two in French) for Centre Ice and it's been that way for a few years. Plus 8 CBC HD stations which may be broadcasting different games on a Sat. night. It's the quality of some of the HD that people are complaining about.

Vulcan...on US center Ice, I don't think that I see HD feeds, at all, when we get whatever station Hughson is the announcer for...
