If Bowman is trying to move Bickell for Nikitin, he's probably looking at similar expiring contracts elsewhere.

Hiller has an expiring deal and could be Crawford's backup while Darling spends another year in the minors.

Not saying we should do it, but not inconceivable that this possibility has been discussed.

Didn't Oilers already decline Bicknell for Niktinin? That trade makes no sense for the Oilers.

Interesting theory/sugestion. Have to think the biggest worry for the flames GM is having 3 goalies on opening night. Could be a big distraction if it takes 3-4 weeks to deal one of them. That said the flames don't have room for another forward without getting rid of one in trade.

What if we sent Bollig back as part of the deal? I'm sure he'd have no qualms going back to chi town and would take pressure off the f logjam.

Would be first vertigo for vertigo trade in history!
