The only thing that is holding the Flames D back is a top 3-4 d-man that can stand up to the power forwards of the other teams. Is Hamilton big and mean enough to control Lucic/Getzlaff, Backes in the crease? If he is then the Flames will be in the top-3.

Weber/Jones, Seabrook, Giradi/Staal, Burns/Dillon all can play top-4 minutes and play the physical game as well as moving the puck.


That would be the reason that St.L with Pietroangelo, Shattenkirk, Bouwmeester can't be considered in the top-3. Same with Minnesota.
