Yup. Missing Wheeler and a few 4th liners.

I'm in Winnipeg today. I have a shot at 6th row tickets, visitor end. Just waiting on the call. Fingers crossed!

Does anyone in the Jets atmosphere know how Burmistrov is looking? Of all of the players that spent time in Europe, I thought that he had the most potential.

Edit : Also saw Norm MacDonald a couple of years ago when he was through. Really an outstanding show. Acceptable substitute for a pre-season game.

This. In my mind, one of the limitations of the Flames' schedule to date has been the lack of opponents with this type of game. The Flames seem to have the most trouble with these kind of teams (St. Louis, Anaheim) and it would be better to know which players of ours match up best against them.

So what would Raymond need to do tonight to tilt the scales back in his favour?

I think he has to be the best player on the ice tonight.

on a totally unrelated note, I'm pretty stoked to see that Thomas Raffl is still in the Jets camp on a PTO. Never thought he'd make it that far and be that close to earning an NHL contract, but seems like he's done very well so far. Certainly not as talented as his younger brother, but probably good enough to be bottom-liner or first call-up option. Hope he makes it, would be great to have a 4th Austrian player in the NHL this season!

This is a huge game for Ortio.

If he can stand on his head again in a big mismatch, I think it's very difficult to start him in the AHL.

I'm rooting for him.

Natural Hat-Trick + Gordie Howe Hat-Trick + 9 blocked shots + 2 assists + 0 giveaways.

Not that any of it is very likely, but come on a Gordie Howe Hat Trick...Does he have to do something other than turtle in the necessary fight.

Yeah see? I thought this was the Flyers' Raffl and I was confused. Cool beans.

What would be better for our team longterm?

Ortio shutout 3-0 win with Raymond hat trick?
Or 3-2 win with Raymond 6 mins icetime -2 and 4 PIM for hooking?

With the defence we're sending out there? 3-2

This would be worst case scenario.

Raymond could very well get a hat trick and then go the next 20 games without a goal. He's so damn streaky and I'm pretty sure GM's across the league know it. He would still be untradeable, but perhaps done enough to temporarily 'earn' a spot on the roster.

Anyone have any info on coverage in the States? I sign up for Center Ice every year, but it's not up and running yet on Comcast. Anyone know of a LEGAL online option?

So the word on the street is no TV via any method other than centre ice.
Is centre ice offering a free preview? If so how do you get it?

Yes free preview. Check your listings. On Shaw and in BC its on chanel 351. Not sure about Calgary or other carriers like telus / Rodgers.
