Move Engelland to forward and waive Bollig if we have to keep one junk player for "toughness".

Interesting article, but a bit too heavy on the advanced stats.
Getting Brodie on the 2nd pairing might work out well. Wideman can keep on the offense and Brodie can make up for his lack of defense. Whatever happens though, I want Gaudreau and Wideman on the ice together whenever possible. They have so much chemistry with eachother it's unreal.
Since it's advanced stat focused, the author puts Russell into a negative light saying he is poor defensively. His unorthodox defense isn't flattering in the advanced stat department, but he passes the eye test every game. AND I MEAN COME ON HE HAS THE HIGHEST +/- ON THE TEAM. When did that stat stop meaning anything? It's more indicative of the results than any advanced stat.

Might be some nagging injuries with the two d-men.

If we go back to the year prior to last then these tough players who have skills would not be considered junk. NHL seem to have abandoned the pure goons, and now also some tough guys who can play. I am all for moving DE to forward and have 3 solid pairs. That way we dont have to play anyone 29 minutes a game like we did during the playoffs.

I really hope Brodie's ankle injury doesn't become a recurring thing.

Seriously? He was not exactly slow to begin with. That just makes me even more excited for this year!

They should just use players' names once when doing the team names. Eventually, I hope to see Team Domenichelli, Team Bassen, and Team Hale 20 years down the line.

Probably just your memory playing tricks on you after not seeing him in this kind of setting for a while. But if true, he'd be looking at some hardware that's better than Calder this year.

Bouma - Backs - Frolik with a good PP shift, almost a goal for Bouma but the goalie Simpson robbed him.

Gaudreau continues to look like he's playing a different game than everybody else, just weaves his way through 3 players like they weren't even there, stops up and sets up a D man for a scoring chance.
