That line up is so deep. When I get home I'll calculate the number of points this team got last year in their respective leagues

Woot! Two more sleeps till I head out there. I can't wait.

Also a reminder to those picking up their tickets. Try to get them a little earlier as everyone and their dog is picking them up that first game. Took me a good half hour to make it through the line just to pick up my tickets.

I too am looking forward to McDavid vs Bennett rivalry. McDavid might have the edge in skill but Bennett has the upper hand in getting NHL experience. It could take Mcdavid another 5-10 years before he gets some of that.

Ryan Lomberg? Isn't he going back to NCAA? He could be getting signed...

What 5 prospects are you most excited about on that list?

He was so bad last year. Through a little temper tantrum at the bench after each shift (slamming door, yelling at himself, thrashing his stick around).

Not necessarily the top 5 prospects, but the 5 that I'm most excited to see what they've got.

Only five?

That is pretty tough.

Bennett
Klimchuk
Poirier
The Swede Dmen
Both Goalies

Honestly though, I can't keep it to five because I really want to see the guys like Smith, Morrison and Carroll. Probably could just about name 80% of the roster.

1. Poirier has always been a frontrunner for me since seeing his speedster youtube vid at the draft. Also to see him progress further and faster (no pun intended) than Shinky-dink and put Nucks fans foots in their mouths.

- Bennett won't be a prospect after this camp.

2. Mange is intriguing as he may be a late round steal with high skill and top speed. Much like mr. Gaudreau (we'll have to see just what mange's ceiling is).

3. Big Rig is just fun to watch. His shoulder may already have a few names sharpied on.

4. MacDonald's progression is a thing of interest. The kid is going nowhere but up. Gillies is the head and shoulders best goalie prospect thus far, but MacDough's progression is what I like to focus on...moreso to see if we have more than 2 capable goalie prospects in our system.

5. Carroll, late round overager, and big body. I like what he brings, and hopefully he can turn into a role player like Bouma. The kid can fight, hit, block, and score. Have always had my third eye on him.

Of course, I'm pretty sure our prospects are better!
I would agree to a certain extent your always going to favour your own teams prospects as you have more of an interest in them. But I do think the Flames roster is more loaded with prospects that other teams fans have heard of and have been invited to camps and have articles written about them more so than the oilers prospects by a long shot. Oilers have their big 3 but after that alot fo slop

Flames have Bennett, Porier, Klimchuk, Gillies, Macdonald, Kylington, Anderson at least that have been rated fairly high or still are. Goalies we have have been WJC contenders or candidates. Kylington at one point was rated with Hanafin and was rated higher than where we drafted him. Klimchuk and Porier both get some press. Anderson too. Bennett of course as well but after this list I still feel the Flames secondary guys are as good or better than the Oilers.

Looks like the Flames have invited Medicine Hat Tigers goalie Nick Schneider to the tourney as the emergency/3rd goalie. He'll get plenty of ice time this year with Marek Langhamer no longer on the scene.

That FW group though, Noice.

Oh man! How did I leave out Gillies on my top 5 list? Move over Andersson.
