And Dickey gives up his obligatory homer per start. I know it's part of the knuckleball that it will occasionally get rocked, but I just get annoyed by it.

Pennington annoys me. Just feels like an easy out every time he gets up there, lucky that dp ball was broken up by Pillar. Hope he proves me wrong as this game goes on.

Well at least Pillar got a hit, just the 2nd against a rookie lefty. I figured the Jays righty heavy lineup would smash this guy tonight. They need to pick it up a little.

I have no problem with Dickey being kept around next season but I'm done with Thole. Thole and Pennington today, yes I am annoyed.

Yeah, I would just let Ryan Goins take his chances against a lefty than let Pennington start any game ever.
Edit: as I say that Pennington makes a nice play up the middle.
