NHL Team Prospect Pools Power Rankings

Yeah, including McDavid as a prospect and propelling the Oilers to a top three team because of it is kind of silly. McDavid was never going to play a non-NHL game after being drafted no matter what team in the NHL drafted him.

So it's very disingenuous to include him in any prospect anything. The Edmotnon Oilers have already announced he'll start on their top line for Christ sakes.

We actually had feedback that the Oilers should unquestionably be #1 in any organizational rankings based on prospects.

The rationale (can read in the comments section of the article) was that any team would trade their prospect pool with the Oilers...

I kind of see where the reader was coming from, but this was not how we looked at the prospect pools - the focus was on quality and depth of that quality.
