I feel bad for the people working in flight ops at WestJet. Decent chance the same flight dispatcher could have had two of these flights. Wouldn't be a good feeling at all.

Confirm YYJ received bomb threat against our aircraft #WS1709. Worked with regulatory & law enforcement agencies and deemed not credible.
Totally agree with you, this has got to stop. http://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/canada/westjet-flight-from-las-vegas-to-victoria-receives-bomb-threat/ar-AAcuZ8J?ocid=mailsignoutmd

From the link I posted in the previous post.

John Thomson, a vice-president with the Strategic Capital Intelligence Group, said earlier on Thursday the case "doesn't strike me as being terrorism and it doesn't strike me as being extortion — it's too particular, too focused on WestJet. I think it's somebody with their own personal animus against the company."

wonder if all the the threats are being received in the same manner?

certainly frustrating for WJ and it's passengers.

All calls, but some variation to whom: destination airport was called on the Vegas-Victoria one, random airport called on Halifax-Edmonton one, and at least one had the airline called directly, though it's undisclosed.

For the first time since early in the week, it's now 9:15 pm and WestJet has not had a bomb threat called in yet today.

Since one of the flights were sourced from Las Vegas, what are the chances this fella ends up in a U.S. Prison and end up as somebody's señorita?

As of now, zero. Unless he's actually American and making the calls from the US... in which case, I dunno who actually gets him. I'd hope it's FBI and DHS cause they don't mess around.

Ugh, I don't like reading this.
Just flew back from Vegas to Vancouver today and am flying Westjet to Calgary tomorrow.

Probably completely unrelated, but we had a really strung out guy on our flight today who started saying he wanted to jump out of the plane. Really odd guy, had a number of people on the flight nervous.
