Even Big Rig didn't do much of a celebration as he knew.

Wow, I'm kind of surprised. None of the initial replays seemed to be conclusive enough to overturn that. They must have had other angles.

Smith may not have the foot speed but he could be utilized by Gaudreau and Monahan similarity to how Kane and Toews used Bickel in 2013

Yea that was clearly like a foot over the bar. Not sure what the announcer was seeing.

That wasn't even close. I can't believe the official called it a goal on the ice.

It's hilarious that Smith's shoulders are a foot above the crossbar. Funny contrast to gaudreau's no goal and this one.

He does have speed though. Give him a few strides and he is gone.

I agree. He definitely has an awkward stride, but he has above average foot speed after the first few steps.

Granted 3 strides gets him from the goal line to the blue line.

His stick was at his shoulder when he made contact. He's 6'7" and was standing upright. His shoulder is a good 2 feet above the crossbar.

That was an easy no goal call.

While I definitely appreciate your take on it, the call on the ice was a goal and all of the replays they showed at first were from awkward angles and weren't all that conclusive to overturn it in my opinion. Like I said when I edited my comment, they must have had other replays that made it clear as day. The right call was made plain and simple.
