I remember reading a story in a ski magazine in the 90's about a group who bought a used ambulance to use for the season.

It didn't have any decals and the paint was faded or worn off.

The point of the story was that they never got pulled over or ticketed no matter how badly they drove. (At least that is what I took away from the story)

I find this incredibly hard to believe, my wife was as an EMT and she nearly spit out her tea when I told her that. Granted it is probably different between the US and Canada, but I would think the chances of that type of questioning would be more likely in the US
