Yeah, they played just good enough to win during the regular season which caused some (me? looking at their GF to GA difference) to think they were winning with smoke and mirrors. Now they are all too real.

Inconsistent and disappears like a lot of other teammates during the playoffs. His Olympic shootout performance was an anomaly looking at his overall NHL record. Not a cancer in the locker room, just very streaky and inconsistent.

Hitchcock is pretty demanding and detailed through the season, and I almost think his teams over the years are either worn out from his message, or, he can't beat them any harder with that message when that extra gear and extra pushing of the buttons is needed in the playoffs.
