Not feeling too sorry for Glendale. They were told they'd lose money when they signed the lease and now they figure out that it's true?

Boeing is in Seattle so definitely could be in for service.
I choose to believe that Arizona Coyotes are moving to Seattle for 2016/2017 season

Wouldn't that fit about half the population of the city?
Gotta love the enthusiasm but dream on

I used to follow that rule as well, but then a guy suggested we trade Cammalleri to TB for Drouin (had to happen quickly for it to make sense), and so now I just never know.

I'd love to see them move to Seattle. Love that city, and they deserve NHL hockey.

I do not believe the press release in the opening post because it is not Monday.

I do agree that they should move Coyotes to Seattle. That is going to be another city to hate the Vancouver Canucks. Seriously though I think they are going to be able to support that team and they can create a rivalry with the Canucks. I don't mind going to Seatlle to watch a Flames game(s) someday.

Nothing wrong with Seattle, but, Portland, Oregon would be better.

Portland already has an NHL Caliber arena built, Paul Allen would be the only viable owner in the area and has said that before the previous coyotes deal that they were watching it very closely. Might not be far fetched to see the NHL in PDX soon.

Portland would be a simple move. Suitable arena already there and it would leave Seattle open for a big entry fee. A more logical move would be to Quebec City but Bettman has painted himself into another corner with his re-alignment nonsense.
Instead of this going to court, I imagine the Coyotes owners are as eager to move as Glendale wants them gone. An agreement should be able to be reached.

So we can keep teams in cities that don't want them? That's definitely worth destroying the credibility of the sport for.

It seems like everyone wants an NHL team in Seattle.... except people in Seattle.

I don't think that Arizona winning the lottery would have changed anything other than giving their new city a good piece to build their marketing around.

Well it worked for Pittsburgh and it's the only thing that hasn't been tried in Phoenix. That being said Pittsburgh had a record of success, the Coyotes have never made money.

Isn't there a rule in the NFL that an owner can only own 1 other sports franchise? I think Stan Kroenke was made to sell a team when he bought the Rams. Not sure Paul Allan would sell the Seahawks or TrailBlazers for an NHL team.
